Loved it but...

Really enjoyed this set, kinda took my time. I've always wanted a AT-ST model and the show this model is based on is fantastic. My only real complaint is the twin cannon on the left side. The "gun barrels" dont really fit and in all honesty I'm surprised y'all went with such a failed design. I attempted to fit them in but ended up hurting myself so I just came up with my own design with some extra parts that came with the set plus two "Gray barrel" parts. It all moves as one now as well. Other than that awesome set for the price!
Overall, I loved the build. It was a nice change from previous AT-ST sets that were all grey and sporting the more "classic" Imperial Style. The detail on this walker is AMAZING. Especially the section behind the main driving cockpit near the head turning mechanism. Although there are a fair few stickers, they are quite nice and give a very rugged look to the walker that I personally love. However, more printed pieces would have been nice. My only problem with the build is regarding pieces #4211888 and #4520320 which build the forward cannons at the front of the walker. I could not for the life of me make the pieces go together. They simply bent the plastic on piece #421188. To remedy this, I had to go into my LEGO bins and find another #421188. As this piece is not super common, I see this as a problem for new builders and for those buying this as a first set. I am not sure how widespread this problem is but it did happen to me. That was my only problem with the overall build. The set is amazing and has great playability features. Overall, 8/10 on the set.
Minifigures:
I actually really enjoy the minifigures in this set. Especially the Klatooinian Raiders. I think their armor pieces are very cool. Both the Mandalorian and Cara Dune are awesome as well. My gripes with the minifigures, however, is mostly a Star Wars fan consistency issue. Mando should have been in his new beskar!!! By this time in the show he had it. With that being said, his figure is awesome and it is a great addition to my collection. My only gripe with Cara Dune is the hair piece but I believe it is good as is. A tattoo from the Rebel Shock Trooper Corps would have been really neat on her arm as well. Overall, 7/10 on the minifigures.
This set is truly awesome. Don't let my Star Wars fan gripes and general LEGO experience turn you off from it. Would totally make an awesome gift or display piece. Especially for those who have watched The Mandalorian. Happy building!
I was really happy to finally pick up this AT-ST. The vehicle has great coloring and is a lot more interesting to look at than previous models. The minifigs are nice, Mando is great and the two raiders are pretty basic. I wish Lego had put a tattoo on Cara Dunes arm. Playability is okay, it turns well but the feet are not moveable which really limits the leg movement. Not an incredibly difficult build, my 8 y/o daughter built the majority of the model and only needed help pushing a few pieces together and attaching the sides of the AT-ST cockpit.
Fantastic build! We’re a STAR WARS family and we love to build and collect LEGO STAR WARS! I got this for my daughter and right when I showed the box to her she began her build! The instructions were dead on and the mini figs are on point! Every detail on the AT-ST Raider makes the build more rewarding! It’s definitely a must have! If you love the Mandolin and STAR WARS this would be a great build to have! Show it off to friends and family or just play and have fun! “I have spoken”
This is an awesome addition to the star wars series. I am a big fan of the mandalorian and think they should continue with the series. Awesome detail and cool mini figures. Only thing is the mandalorian had full Beskar Armour by that episode. Must buy for star wars fans.
