Really havet used it that much. The books that came with it dont tell me much as how to use it. What I have cooked in it I like. It doesnt tell me if I should preheat at all time or not. Thanks Don

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Nuwave Brio14Q for about a week and a half and I’m pretty impressed with this digital air fryer oven. At first look, it’s almost overwhelming. It has quite a few buttons and functions. Don’t let that worry you. The Brio is easy to use. I felt pretty comfortable with it by the second use. Just a few buttons and I was cooking like I had been using it for months.
Let’s start with all the cool features and what it is. The Brio can be used as a warmer, oven, air fryer, and dehydrator. It also has a rotisserie skewer, rotisserie cage, and temperature probe. The Oven comes with 2 mesh racks a mesh tray (like a very shallow basket) and a drip tray.
After going through the instruction manual and cookbook that it came with the air fryer, I made a few different things. I started with frozen chicken nuggets and French Fries. Both cooked well in the brio. The chicken nuggets came out crispier than when I make them in the oven. The fries crisped up nicely too but were a little over done. I had them in the top rack so will lower them a level the next time I make them and they should be fine.
The second thing I did with the Brio was to use it as a dehydrator. I took two sweet onions, sliced them and put them in the oven for 10 hours. They came out as I expected but didn’t look anything like the picture in the book. The picture in the book looks like they were battered and fried. That is one my issues with the Nuwave Brio. The cookbook could be much better. As a cook, I feel that the recipe pics provided in the provided cookbook look fabricated and not what one should expect the machine to do.

The most current food I’ve made in the Brio was a rotisserie chicken. This is by far my favorite feature so far. The brio cooked a chicken that was almost 6 pounds in an hour. I didn’t have to preheat anything either. 1 hour, start to finish! Just set the machine and let it go. It was the juiciest chicken I’ve had in a long time. The chicken skin was golden, flavorful and crisp.
Cleaning the machine is pretty easy. The inside wipes down nicely and the front door comes off easily for cleaning. The drip pan cleaned up in a snap even being half filled with chicken fat. The racks didn’t seem to have food stuck on them and cleaned well.
I am definitely excited about making more food with the Nuwave Brio but there are a few things that you should be aware of as well as improvements that I feel the machine could use. First, while the racks cleaned up easily, my wife sliced her finger on one of them the first time she cleaned them. There were some sharp edges on the racks. I had to go around each one looking for the sharp edges and crimp them down with pliers. The cookbook could be much better. The pictures do not seem to be true to what the machine can do, one of the recipes does not match the ingredients and in fact belongs to a recipe a few pages earlier in the book. This needs a complete overhaul.
A few other things to note about the brio that I want to note. It has a fan in it that helps to cook things faster. The hot air comes out of the back of the oven. I dehydrated onions for 10 hours. That’s a long time so if you buy this brio you may want to find a place to use the dehydrator function where don’t have to listen to the fan. Another note to make is that I had a question on something I was unsure of. I got onto a live chat with brio customer service in their website. They were great! I chatted for about 3-5 minutes and they were able to answer my questions. Kudos for good customer service. Finally, the machine is pretty big so make sure you have the counter space for it or a place out of the way to store it between uses. It also needs room for air flow so putting it against the backsplash or kitchen wall may not be a good option.

Overall, from what I’ve done with the Nuwave Brio 14qt so far, it’s a good air fryer option to keep in mind when you are looking to purchase one. This is perfect for that. I love how easy it is to clean and how fast it cooks. I know you can make jerky as well. Which is a huge plus I hate buying that stuff. I can not wait to try a rotisserie chicken. This is the best air fryer/cooker I have ever had.

It comes with an easy to read step by step instruction guide, a large cook book, a rotisserie basket and skewer, and a thermometer probe that plugs right into the machine. The 14Q Brio is large enough to hold a 5lb chicken cooking it with ease. The way this machine cooks, gives your food a perfect sear on the outside and all the flavorful juiciness on the outside. This machine is an Air Frier, a Rotisserie oven, a regular oven, a d a dehydrator all in one. The Brio has a preheat option and can store recipes, making cooking a specific item you love easy and effective. I am absolutely in love with my NeWave 14Q Brio and am so thankful I have this appliance in my kitchen!

So much room inside

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this. Family of 6 definitely need one this size. We can fit so much compared to others. The door is heavy but we are very careful knowing this. So many different settings, but really everything cooks great on the same setting. Make life simple. We just change the time. We mainly use for frozen foods. But even reheating next day fried chicken is amazing and pizza omg. Again we rarley change the settings and it all tastes so good. You can see the grease at the bottom. You can even roast an entire chicken. Easiest thing to use even my 11 year old brother know how to cook in it. Just plug in turn on and hit the timer almost like a microwave but healthier. A must have appliance.

Best ever kitchen addition!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the 14 Qt Brio a few weeks ago, and OMG it has changed my life! It fries, dehydrates, and has the rotisserie feature which is by far my favorite. Last weekend I put a brisket on slow rotisserie, and it came out AMAZING! This is far better than any air fryer I have seen on the market. It comes with a meat temperature probe, so you know when your food is done on the inside, and also a recipe book for new ideas. It does have a learning curve for figuring out how long to cook at what temperature, but don't give up! I highly recommend this addition to every kitchen!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a must have for any kitchen. I love to use the pre-programmed settins.. This unit comes with a lamnated sheet with all the numbers you need to cook in this baby. Want to cook chicken nuggets? Look on the laminated sheet and press that numberon the panel. How easy is that? I can cook a WHOLE chicken in here. Toss all your other air fryers and use this one. It is truly the best kitchen appliance I own!
