Meets our needs and space but…

Had this refrigerator just over 3 years. First of all before you buy a fridge check the filter replacement costs. This is an average $100 a year you will spend. This model is the perfect size for my husband and I. We love the water and ice dispenser but have had trouble with the refrigerator temperature. Often items in the back are getting frozen. Recently the climate control shelf cracked in the middle and now the drawers do not set evenly. Since it is just the two of us I don’t feel this was due to excessive use or wear. Of course we are out of warranty and when I tried to order the part it was out of stock. Does this mean GE is making disposable refrigerators now because 3 years is not good for a consumers wallet or the environment. Sadly disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It meets our needs.

We like the counter depth due to space. Our only issue is the bottom handle for the Freezer keeps coming off. We have re-installed it a dozen times. We are having to use our thumbs against the top refrigerator door when we open it to keep the handle from pulling off. Overall we like the unit.

The product is good when it works. It looks good and all however we've had to get techs out 4 times since purchasing the fridge last April.

Good fridge but tacky fittings

The fridge looks good from the outside and works well. The shelves are tacky and the rubber lining on the door keeps coming off. It’s a pain to put it back in the beading especially for children.

Door shelves are great

The refrigerator works well. I like the crispness of the shelves. It's counter depth and the shelves on the doors are very deep (right side) which allows for a lot of storage. The buttons for water/ice on the front are more button pressure than touch but that is easy to work with. The doors don't shut as easily as I would like and I am have them serviced.

This GE refrigerator in the slate finish is a wonderful complement to any modern kitchen. The finger print free finish makes for a clean, updated look. With the double French door and freezer set up you have plenty of storage for all your food needs, and much more.
