I am very happy with my piano. It sounds so much like a real piano. The adjustments provided are great. The speakers are a little tiny with some notes compared to the head speakers which are great. Overall the piano is great.
The piano is still fairly new to our house, only had it for a week or so. Our son upgraded from a keyboard to digital piano as he wanted more of a piano sound and this product definitely delivered that. He is still learning how to use some of the other features but we are definitely happy with the product for the price.
I love that this is a full size 88 key digital piano. Not weighted keys, but still full size. It’s light enough that I can carry it to church and back home and not feel like it’s a strain. The built in speakers are great and the Bluetooth connection to my iPad opens up to LOADS of features. I can play the background music through the onboard speakers along with the actual piano sound which is amazing and its got great learning and practicing tools. I’m so excited with this piano as opposed to some of the others I’ve tried. Definitely a value.
I love the portability and light weight of this keyboard. It has a great piano sound, and through my stereo system at home, it sounds awesome! It's not a weighted action, but for my purposes the portability makes this easy on my back when I'm carting it up to the cottage.
Perfect for beginners who want an 88 key piano and with the current 3 month free lesson promo it's a steal at this price!
I'm not ready for weighted keyboard action just yet, on a budget and this will do for me for now. When I am ready, I plan to upgrade to something like the Roland FP-10 which does have weighted keys.
In it's price range, this is a great entry level piano. It's full size, so good for piano lessons. Yet still lightweight enough to take to grand-ma's, the cottage, etc. Easy to use and best if connected to your phone or tablet to make use of its extra features like learning resources and streaming music to jam to. A serious player will eventually want weighted keys, but this is a great and fun way to start or avoid getting rusty without breaking the bank. Sounds good too!
This is a great piano if you are new to playing. While the the keys are not hammer weighted (and no where in the description does it claim to be.... that is why its $499 , hammer weighted will come in at least a $699 piano) they feel great. The unit has good basic sounds (check out the video) and is really portable. Roland have a long and strong reputation for well made products which is why musicians for years have used their products on stage and in the studio, Having played many current versions of these starter piano's including this one I would not hesitate to recommend it.
Before you make your decision, be aware that this is not a weighted-key digital piano. The sounds it produces are not stable. The pedal doesn't work well either. I'm gonna return it anyway.
