Good set

This set is pretty good and makes a great display piece. Overall a bit expensive for the amount of physical structure you get, but worth it.

Starting to wonder.....
on January 8, 2019

......why? These city skylines were interesting.....at first. Nothing much to say about this one. If you’ve built one in this series, you’ vet built them all. Not bad, just ‘ho-hum’. Quality of Lego justifies the price. I’m now at the point where I wish this ’theme within a theme’ would move out on its own and we’d get more and larger stand alone architecture sets. These sets would be best moved out of the architecture series and sold as souviners in the cities they represent. I have no problem with ‘repetitiveness’ when building a large structure like the Taj Mahal. But, I do have a problem with repetitiveness when comparing set to set to set......like these city skyline sets.

No more skylines please

I wish they would make these seperate from architecture sets. I want to do Lego architecture for its design details and representations of monuments throughout the world this is like an expressionist painting of several building with as little detail as possible. Plus it seems like they are doing so many of these now to fill time between releases of better architecture sets. I feel like I have to buy them to complete my architecture collection but I don't enjoy them nearly as much as the detailed buildings. Lego should make skyline it's own category for those who wish to have more of these. Also the price is going up and I don't feel like they are good value for the price these days. As far as Paris specifically the buildings were mainly repetitive small pieces but the Eiffel was a nice solid design although the scale compared to the building just doesn't seem quite right, could be me. It's alright but I hope the next architecture set with a full building will come soon.

Wrong depiction of the arc de triumphe
on February 5, 2019

The Paris skyline’s depiction of the arc de triumphe resembles the one in Pyongyang, North Korea instead of the one in Paris. The proportion and roof pieces especially shows the much closer resemblance to the Pyongyang arc de triumphe, which is not a replica of the Parisian one. The LEGO design made a serious mistake for this skyline and should be corrected.

Response from LEGOBy Keith, Customer Service, February 6, 2019
Hi there, thanks for your review. With our architecture theme, our designers are challenged to recreate famous landmarks from around the world using very few pieces. They create sleek and compact models that are great to display on a desk or shelf. Due to the small scale, it may be hard to distinguish the features of the Paris Arc De Triomphe in this set from the myriad other triumph arches around the world. However, any resemblance to these other structures is purely coincidental.

eiffel tower color
on February 6, 2019

being an affectionate lego fan from my childhood i cannot resist to buy some lego for myself from time to time. being an architect, the lego architecture series are a specialty i like the most. i had only one - the trevi fountain in rome (excellent!), but recently i bought paris and san francisco. both are excellent too. knowing paris very well i can confirm that this set recreates the overall atmosphere of the city featuring some of it's most famous monuments. in technical terms i have no objections considering the build quality. i must say that this eiffel tower is far the best - it finally has the right proportions and an overall impression - really great work :) however i have one important objection: the color of the eiffel tower. in reality it is not grey, it is painted brown. i my oppinion, if it was made from brown bricks (as used for the 555 california street tower in san francisco architecture set) it would be perfect! what a pity i cannot change it :(

A good Paris set

Overall, the Paris Skyline is pretty cool. I like all of the buildings, but I will say the Louvre is rather lacking on the sides for detail (not a big deal in my opinion), and the black building is rather obtrusive (I wonder if they could have found a different building that was tall as well). Overall however, I like the look of the city and having it on my shelf.

Great build!

This is the third "Skyline" architecture set I've purchased, and is my favorite one so far. Some really clever building techniques utilized throughout the set, and it's amazing how many famous Paris landmarks the LEGO designers managed to squeeze in! Looks great displayed next to "London" and "Dubai"!

Entertaining Build

This is my fourth Lego architecture skyline to build. I really enjoyed working on the tower. I find that I enjoy the sets they have a variety of color and typically one focal point, like the tower. This was not a difficult set, but pretty enjoyable.
