Beautiful on my Kitchen Counter

Lever on right side fixes bread dough head-banging

There’s a lever on right hand side that resolves this issue when kneading dough.
There’s a setting (you do with a coin, twisting a nut) to resolve height of beater attachment so batters get mixed and the beater doesn’t actually hit the bowl. You have to undo worm screw and lift the head to get at it, but it’s easy to do, and get perfect fit.
I found the “adjust beater” video on YouTube.
Sorry, my cat is on my lap so no photos. Flip the head banger lever forward and it locks the head in place. Push it back to release and raise the head. I didn’t realize the function of that lever on the first one I had and I’d stand there like a dummy holding the head down while my focaccia dough mixed. There’s something to be said for reading those manuals that come with things. Don’t let a 1-star review put you off this magnificent machine.
I got the red 100 Anniversary and it’s my 3rd Kitchenaid stand mixer since 2009. I give them away as presents to family when they “Oh! Ahh!” Mine.
I’ve cooked with all of them, made quite a bit of bread and everyone worked a champ. I actually got the red one (school colors) for someone else and they’ll prob get for Christmas. I save the boxes and they look like new.
I love this mixer. My favorite new trick is shredding boneless, COOKED chicken for chicken salad with the beater attachment.

It's a KitchenAid, and that means it's great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like the title says, it's a KitchenAid, people. Every product I have ever purchased of theirs has been great. This special edition is no exception. It is BRIGHT cherry red and looks great just sitting on the counter. The mixer is more than powerful enough for my baking projects. I tended to overfill my 4.5 quart mixer, so the slightly larger bowl is fantastic. And the pouring guard is a great addition!
My ONLY critique is that I'm not the biggest fan of the red band. It would look much better if it were the polished silver that their other current mixers are, but that is entirely a personal aesthetic/opinion.

100 year limited edition

Not only is it obviously more appealing to the eyes than my older model but it is definitely more quiet and it runs so smoothly. There are tons of attachments that I plan to buy for it and I absolutely love that it has a shield! Awesome buy and I love it!

Headbanging like in the middle of a rock concert

I am in a similar situation like the NY baker is facing. I purchased this mixer a while ago and have not used it until recently. I used it to make a soft toast dough and it is headbanging like in the middle of a rock concert, and it is shaking and trying to jump off the countertop. I read all FAQs, I have contacted the support, and followed the KitchenAid YouTube instructions to adjust the mixer, none of them helps. I was thinking this anniversary version should be better than the regular version, or at least the same. My friend’s regular mixer performs way better than this anniversary version. I think I got a defective product(one of the screws is missing on the bottom of the mixers). Very very disappointed with this mixer. :(

So disappointed

I just received this special edition stand mixer only to find that the advertised stainless steel attachments are not in fact included! Pictures show what I ordered Vs what I received. This is not a cheap kitchen gadget & I expected to receive what I paid for. I’m so disappointed ☹️

I'm in love with my kitchenaid

I have had my kitchenaid for 3 years. My husband finally bought me one for my birthday and of course it's my favorite color red. It is a godsend compared to my old mixer. So easy to use and I can't wait to buy the extras to go with it.
