I bought this hood last year, I still have LED light problem.. frist no technician and finally after months, technician came out and said he has no idea how to fix the LED Light which it stays on and he never return. It’s so much hassle to just call coustomer service. I called at least 30 times with different person that I have to explain same thing over, how exhausting! I’ll never buy kitchenaid product again.

I bought this hood and it worked great. But all of a sudden fan settings are not working. The speed remains same for low, med, high or boost.

We built a house and we decided to go with this model as we always liked how reliable Kitchen Aid appliances were in our past house - we also bought a counter top gas stove, fridge, dishwasher and wall oven and microwave for our kitchen. We were very happy Kitchen Aid customers until we started using the hood fan.
Since day one, we are having an issue: Grease spilling from the back of the hood to the backsplash walls. On our first time cooking in our new house, we pan seared meat and vegetables and after we finished, we noticed grease spilling from the hood's back to the backsplash wall and grease accumulating at the corners of the flat surface at the bottom of the hood. It was day one of use, all brand new and it felt like I had the hood for 5 years and never cleaned the filters - it was just disgusting.
We complained to the builder and to the company who installed the fan and they had explained that it's doing its job, which is to pull air and that the hood was made more to pull steam....not good for grease. Also, they commented that it was not the first time they had complains like that for the product....
I was baffled and disappointed as we had Kitchen Aid Over the Range Microwave and never had issues and a friend of mine who has a Whirlpool equivalent of this hood do not have issues like I do. I hope you can do better next time
