Tough Installation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like the final product, but installation had lots of surprises. Have a louver at the exit of your vent? Need to remove the louver in the hood. When does the styrofoam need to be removed? Not clear in the instructions, but if you don't remove it before you hang you end up chiseling it out and it turns into popcorn all over the kitchen. Can you hang it up alone? Yes, with many, many attempts and lots of swearing. And lots of finger prints to clean up afterwards.

Auto Light Keeps Blinking

I purchased this and all other appliances from Kitchenaid for my new home construction. We have lived here for 4 months and the auto light won’t stop blinking. There is no guidance on why this does this? Doesn’t seem right...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this just before Christmas, and it has just been installed. It looks great and appears to be working as designed, although we haven't tested the auto fan feature as kitchen is under reno. Please update design so that there are multiple LED light intensities, the warming light is also a LED, and the Control Panel display has low intensity backlighting. The delivery area of your system needs to be updated and managed better by the delivery company(s) to reflect that clients need to know what stage a delivery is at with them, and that no one should update the system to indicate that an item has been delivered before a client has been contacted for delivery date/time AND before the delivery has occurred.

Great Features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this hood before my kitchen remodel was started. I replaced the "fake exhaust hood" that I had for 12 years. All it did was suck in and blow back into the room through a wimpy metal mesh filter. This hood vents outside (yes through the roof as I demanded from my contractor) Actually clears the kitchen of odors. Haven't tried to clear smoke yet... Haven't burned anything on my new Stove.
