My kids love this thing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My favorite thing about this toy is that both my 2 year old and my 5 year old both love it. With the four different modes of play they are able to play together or independently. My son is speach delayed and the way the toy identifies items and talks or sings is so helpful for him. My 5 year old is learning all about money and following directions. They are both learning and don’t even know it! What mom wouldn’t like that!?!? The toy itself was pretty simple to put together and the quality was true to the Little Tikes brand. This was our first smart toy but I feel like my kids love this so much we are going to need the kitchen too!

Love the product! But no replacement options?

My kids 1 and 3 love the shop n learn checkout! But like most kids the pieces get lost throughout the house. I'd love to expand upon the set of items for the checkout but cannot find replacement parts or expansion sets anywhere. Why? This is a real downside.

Awesome Toy if the coin slot wasn't broken

I bought this Little Tikes Smart Checkout last week. We put it together tonight for my daughter to wake up and play with on her birthday tomorrow. The coin slot isn't registering the coins. So that limits the things she can do with it and on the app.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toy is amazing and has so many cool features.I love that it includes pretend money and change plus a credit card.The set includes a variety of food plus a resuable bag.The conveyor belt rolls just like at the grocery store.My kids love it.plus there are interactive games they can play using their tablets.I love that the number of the register lights up and it has really grocery store sounds

I previously wrote a bad review, Little Tykes reached out to me, and got the issue corrected IMMEDIATELY! They were AMAZING! I cannot speak badly about them one bit! Santa had brought my daughter a checkout, but it was broken. Well Santa threw the box away because it was set up for her Christmas morning. (not realizing it was broken at 2am when we set it up) I tried calling the company and was on hold forever. I emailed and left a review-- a week later I had a new checkout at my front door. They went above and beyond. I now have a super excited little girl who wants everyone to play grocery store with her!! Thank you so much LT!

BIG hit with the Grands

Came across this grocery while browsing sales for Christmas 2022. When the Grands have everything, I’m searching for anything from Santa that spanned ages 1-6 and to go in the playroom at my house. I read the description, admittedly halfhearted, and decided to go with it. When we put it together and saw all that it did, to say I was impressed is an understatement. 4 grandchildren and they all LOVE it! Even 2 years later and everything still works perfectly. We have had to change batteries and remove coins from the “dollar” slot, but they play and play and play! This play piece was a 5 STAR hit!

Fun, while it lasted! (Ten mins!)

Santa brought this for our kiddos and it is pretty nice how they can interact with it on the iPad. Love how it would ask for an item with protein, and the kids had to scan the chicken! Really nice WHILE IT LASTED. It asked for the “dollar” bills and it counts them which is cool. It asked for the “coins” and we put one in the slot and it never came out. It’s stuck. Now I have to upset kids cause it doesn’t work. Cant do the checkout part because if it asks for a coin- we can’t do it anymore. So it lasted us a whole ten mins. Pretty pricey for ten mins of gameplay. They can still scan the items and the iPad tells them what it is so that’s pretty cool but the counting part (checkout) is useless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Toy With a Small Batch Flaws

We have the toy, was a great toy that the kids still enjoy but there's a couple small issues that could arise that I think its important to note.
1) Our kids primarily play with this without the app. It appears a few of our food items have worn out and no longer scan. When this occurs the conveyer becomes somewhat useless. It would be great if it had some sort of button to override and just make it run.
2) Food can be misplaced temporarily or lost long term. The problem with this is that you have issues with fully completing some games on the companion app. At that point there's no way to exclude a food or just 'mark' a food as found if they have a substitute item (i.e. a non scanning "normal" bread from another kitchen set).
3) Coins or money frequently get stuck, a stepper incline may have helped. The bills are less of an issue as you can unscrew a back panel to get at them, or its just generally a pretty wide tunnel. The bigger issue is the coins. Its a narrow slow with almost no access. We found a metal stake we can push through to clear up jams when they occur.
Overall would be perfect if they accounted for some of these "errors" or "mishaps" that could come up.
