I finally had to replace my original set of batteries for my radios, I purchased these back in 2013 and only charged them twice since owning them! I thought I was going to have to pay out of my nose for replacements but cod was cool! Great little radios.

I'm happy to have OEM replacements for my GXT1000Ps. They hold a charge well in the beginning. Unfortunately, if they stay in the charger too long, then they begin to be lose the ability to recharge at all. (Thus the need to purchase more.)

There's nothing quite like having charged backup batteries when you need them...saves having to wait for charging. This is because if you need your two-way radios, you don't want an interruption of operations....and hurricane season is upon us now. Be prepared.

I bought the walk-in talkies 2 years ago. They have seen little use. I went to use them and let the batteries charge. They sat overnight in the charge and never went to a full charge I.e. the red charge light never went out. I recently bought two new batteries and placed them in the charger. Even after a overnight charge they still did not come back to full charge.
With that I’ve given up.

Hello, the red light will always stay on as long as the radios are in the charger. To determine if the radios are fully charged turn them on to see if they battery level meter is full. When you are charging new batteries for the first time it is recommended you charge them for 24 hours. This information can be found in your manual. If you have questions you can always call Midland Customer Service at 816-241-8500 M-F 8am-4:30pm CST.
