Still trying to set up as it is not an upgrade but a new purchase / experience. Set-up has been challenging and a review cannot be done until used. Could not give it a nickname when trying to set up hence xxxx.

Good performance, easy config but when zooming in or out the maps while riding it just stop working and crushed, I needed to force it off/on to make it work again

I wasn't sure if I needed an 830 over the 530, but I couldn't be more happy. I went for the 830 since it is the same size and virtually the same weight as the 530. The navigational features and intuitive touchsceen are a major bonus. I love riding new trails and exploring new places on my bikes and the Edge 830 is the perfect companion.

Fantastic Tool and Motivator

Bought my 830 from a local bike shop. It had been on the shelf for some time, as the SW was at v 4.1. This made it nearly impossible to pair with my iPhone 11 pro. A remote with online support late Sunday evening told me about Express, which pushed v 5.0 SW, and bam! Paired, online, working perfectly. Thx!

A great device

A actually I just bought this a few days ago, only had a few days to play with it. But so far I am very happy with this 830,, love the touch screen, easy to use and get set up. I have only been able to use with my trainer, but I am really excited to get outside on the road and trails and use some of the map features.

Instructions are vague and incomplete. Had to call

Frustrating trying to follow incomplete and vague instruction manual. Had to call Garmin for help. This process took over one hour with very long hold time. Also heart monitor non-functional. Rep. on phone stated is either battery no good, or defective unit.

Nothing works. Apps suck. Difficult and clumsy. Trail forks doesn’t work. The edge 830 needs a lot of finishing work.
