It is complicated to set up. I dont like the buttons, touch screen much better, that costs another $100. Overpriced and much to complicated.

Great but the buttons get stuck

Overall I'm super happy with the connected features this Garmin has over computers I've had in the past. But from a hardware standpoint the buttons can be a little tricky. They seem to get stuck sometimes and I have to push them more than once to get the computer to respond.

Not that happy

I bought this as soon as it was released. It kept dropping power etc. they had to send a beta download to address. Also, the elevation gain is way off and sometimes it just gets frozen then I have to do a hard reset wouldn’t recommend

Another awful device. Finally switched to Wahoo.

I kept buying new Garmins thinking each iteration might have worked out the kinks in previous models. Nope. Same frustrating experience of constant sensor dropouts, lost BT connectivity (meaning none of the safety features work) and then the awful process of trying to upload a ride when it just doesn’t feel like working properly. I finally just gave up and bought a Wahoo. I love it. It works. EVERY time.

Why did I not get this sooner

I have always had a simple bike computer that just gave me speed and mileage.
Having the 530 now, has helped me train more efficiently and properly fuel during my ride.
The other nice feature is just being able to have it get me directions to home, when I get lost on a long ride.

Syncing not so great

Sometimes in uploads ride some times it doesn't. Sometimes it communicates with iphone, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it will upload to garmin connect and WKO4 via usb port, sometimes I have to connect and disconnect several times before it figures it out. I never had an issue with the 520. Not sure whats going on?

Device works well, buttons don’t.

This is my second 530. I returned the first one because the back button didn’t work properly. My second one works better, but the back button has no tactile press feel, and is finicky. The down arrow is similar. For a premium product I expect the buttons to work well and uniformly. It’s pretty aggravating to have to press key buttons extra hard or multiple times. I doubt wahoo devices have this issue.
