Love it

Great visibility for my aging eyes Perfect screen size. Great battery. Like all of the features including Navigation, drink/eat warnings, sharp curve ahead. There is a 2 second delay on the ascent % that needs to be addressed. Also, states that I’m pedaling too fast after I coast then start pedaling again even though alarm set for cadence of 120. Wish iphone would let me do quick response text messages from the Garmin. I am more pleased than I thought that I would be.

Improved but not perfect

I’ve had the Edge 500 and 520.
This version has. Better screen and overall is much more stable. Ironically I had my first software crash and freeze up yesterday on my ride. No idea why happened but had to come home and do a hard reset. Otherwise very stable and no major issues.

I’ve used this for several months now, great for tracking cadence, heart rate, and other data! Still haven’t figured out how to sync with Map my Ride or other apps!

Nice features but have had problems

Upgraded from my 500. The 500 was bulletproof! The 530 has had had issues connecting, freezing mid ride (seemed to have stopped), and now the buttons are sticking. Definitely not the quality I’m used to from garmin. If i had To do over, I’d probably try the wahoo.

i bought my farming a acouple months ago and it has been good but these past couple of weeks it won’t connect to my vector 3 pedals and won’t give a accurate reading. takes about 15 minutes to connect after trying multiple things. my watts and average mph is always delayed about acouple minutes.

Very Feature Rich

I got this a few months ago and I've been steadily learning more and more how to properly use it. The MTB features are interesting and its ability to detect a jump (and not get a false positive from say, a short manual) is really good. It does have a learning curve to setup and I found the need to juggle a few different apps, the Garmin Express software on my computer and the Garmin Connect site all needed to be used in one way or another to get things largely setup. There isn't a good universal point of control where you can do everything. I wouldn't suggest it to anyone who isn't very tech savvy or who doesn't have another experienced Garmin user to lean on. I can see a need for a Garmin University series of classes since their products are known for being complex. Unfortunately, the unit was thrashed pretty hard in a crash that broke my MTB mount so I currently don't have this.

Originally I thought with new tech and upgrades it would be great. I had issue with maps now it will not even turn back on.
