Faster, More Powerful than the Previous Gen

I already loved my Garmin 520, which I've been using for road rides for years. As the battery life started to shorten on my existing Garmin, I looked to pick up a replacement.
The new Garmin 530 keeps everything I love about the 520, and makes a bunch of things better! Battery life has improved, startup screen is way faster, the screen is full color, and MTB features are a cool improvement!
I prefer to sync my Garmin with Strava for fast route integration, but the Garmin Connect app works well, too!

Great Bike Computer

Very happy with the edge 530. The benefits far surpass the one complaint I have so keep that in mind. My only complaint is the time it takes to upload an activity to garmin connect. Other than that minor detail, the edge 530 is a great tool for data visibility, nav and recording workouts.

Works as should, meets needs

great product, upload is annoyingly slow/takes a few tries - I have friends with the same computer who said this has always been a thing. Otherwise, it meets my needs, the computer itself is great and very crisp to read when riding. The app is not that great personally, but I do not use it for much other than to connect with Strava.

Great tracker that gives you everything you need. Pairs easily with other sensors like power meters or wrist HR monitor. Good integration with Garmin Connect and Trailforks.

Out of the box the screen is nice and large compared to my old 820. But did not give it 5's or 10's because on the first ride the speed sensor did not connect and finding the start button was not as easy as on the 820. Had to fumble around once riding to find it. Probably could have spent more time with it at first but had figured it was similar enough to other harming products that I did not need to. But overall a great product.

Best Cycling GPS

The Edge 530 has never once run out of battery on me, has very good navigation software, and is compatible with so many different types of riding. Combine that with its ruggedness and I cant recommend it any more.
I will continue to use Garmin products for as long as they are offered, and the 510 is my favorite in my quiver.

Perfect for mountain biking

This is pretty amazing for mountain biking. There's a lot of features that feel a lot more road-biking or touring focused, but they don't get in the way of what I want out of the unit. The mount extends the computer from the handlebars at a good angle and is easily adjustable, I haven't had any issues with its durability or anything but I don't crash very often. I love being able to see how much elevation gain is left in my ride, and keep a monitor on my heart rate (external HRM) mid-climb so I don't blow up. Paired with a speed sensor, it gives a more accurate distance reading than any wrist-based GPS I've used. The grit and flow metrics are cool, along with seeing metrics on jumps. I'm excited to see how the heat acclimation functionality tracks how I feel during the summer, as I live in a desert and routinely ride in 95-110F weather.
