Great addition to your cycling gear

This has been a great GPS. It is easy to use and easy to set up. The connection to your phone is easy and seamless. I have been using it for mountain biking and gravel riding and has been excellent at tracking both. Loading pre-determined routes is also easy. The battery seems to last a good while as well. I bought an extra mount so I can switch back and forth between bikes without a problem. I went with the 530 due to issues that I've read about with the touch screen on the 830 model. Very happy with this so far.

I like it a lot.. I've used it for the past couple of months and am very happy with my purchase..I have plenty of athletes that have used them for years though. It connects to my power pedals and phone really well for data and alerts. The battery life is extremely long and there are so many functions. Beginner or expert friendly. I went without the upgraded model (1- it was before I had access to this site and discount...) but I thought the touch screen may not have been great in a variety of weather..

It's a great bike computer, especially for newer riders. I love the buttons over the touchscreen, mounts great and works great other Garmin products.

Garmin always delivers with the quality and accuracy. The Edge 530 definitely fit the budget/features I was looking for. Admittedly took a moment to learn the user interface but I'm glad it's not a touchscreen you end up fighting with sweaty hands. Screen is really visible in all light conditions and the battery life is great.

I have raced the Leadville 100 MTB with this computer the past two years and would recommend it to any cyclist of any level. It has all the data you need and its easy to use.

Possible Improvements...
on June 16, 2023

Overall, I think two things need improvement and this can be done via the upgrades on the app itself (or a software upgrade)...
1. The font currently is too thick - reducing effective visibility. So, a font change option or should switch over to maybe something like Ariel Narrow.
2. The data screens config options should be connected to a grid on the phone - this way, the phone's touch screen will ease the rider to do the changes in secs, and the same would reflect on the device on the go... it just needs a simple code, but will take the interface to the next-gen.
3. QR code on the device screen can be used to connect the setup app on the phone or the Wi-Fi settings. Simple and snappy.
Hope this helps. Cheers.
