The best overall value by a long way.

The Edge 530 packed with features at a totally reasonable price. It’s not as intuitive as an iPhone, but you get used to the logic. The DC Rainmaker review is spot on. It’s REALLY good!

Great bicycle computer

It has navigation which can't guide to anywhere unless you're there before with this device and record/mark that location.
Browsing map on the device is TOTALLY JOKE.
Other than navigation and once paired smartphone, you can have tons of information about course ridden on you phone.

Cool lil gadget but I have no clue what I'm doing with it. Been watching YouTube videos to learn, in the long run it'll be all good but Garmin should put out a YouTube video on using this instead of thinking everyone knows how to use it right off the bat.

Tracks my rides

I've had mine for 3 months and love it! It's great on the trail when I run out of cell service and I am wondering where I am supposed to go. I also love having the app to track my progress and see how I am improving as a rider. The incident detection feature is also comforting to my wife to give her peace of mind should I crash while I'm out by myself. Would definitely buy it again!

Arrived with defective battery

Unit arrived with defective battery; would not stay on for more than a minute, would immediately lose all remaining battery % when unplugged from a charger, would intermittently display no battery warning screens.
Ordered a replacement and will update this review once it arrives.

Buttons too hard to push

They are well hidden and don't need to take a lot of pressure to push, they do. When pushing a button mine spun off the mount and hit the ground and got scuffed up. I know there is the leash but never had to use it with my Edge 500 or 520. Not happy with this at all. Would not recommend this unit to everyone and I've been a Garmin Fanboy for well over 10 years.

The customizable screens are amazing. So much infoon one screen, without pushing a button. Great! Love the pop up Hill climb screen.
My only issue was the lack of info to get it set up to wirelessly get routes from ride with gps. I feel I almost needed an it degree to figure this out. But all works seamlessly now!
