great device but get the touch sensitive option

The device is extremely customizable. I am especially pleased with how I integrates with the twilight radar add-on. (negative) I didn't realize how annoying the need to button-click-navigate the menu items feels in 2021

Not very accurate routing

Just completed first ride and it’s not very accurate. The trail system was a relatively tight one that we know well so we did not get lost but if it had been a new trail system we would have been in trouble. I used the device and downloaded a route and attempted to follow it. It caused more confusion than clear direction. Beeping at me, indicating we need to make a u turn. Hope it will work better on a trail system that has more trail separation.

Slow and frustrating!

Setup takes a while and is frustrating with the buttons on the sides. Maybe the Edge 830 with touchscreen would work better. You can get similar GPS tracking with your smartphone.

Great balance of performance and cost

Models that cost less didn’t have the features I want, more expensive models were too big or just too much money. Only thing I’d change on the 530 is making the buttons a bit larger - they’re hard to use with gloves on.
