Straight from the box into the dump! Backlight does not work after 1 hour. Tried everything. LCD only visible in bright light …

We are sorry to hear about this issue. The device should be under warranty so we would encourage you to reach out to our support team for assistance. Thank you for posting a review.
This replaces a previous bike computer that tracked all the basic info; cadence, speed, distance, grade, etc., but nothing like the Edge530! I love the mapping, and turn by turn directions. And the screen is just enough larger to be much easier to read, yet still small enough to not be in the way! And the bike alarm feature is really nice! And last but not least, pairing with the Varia rearview radar & back light I can now see cars coming up behind me, even multiple cars! Now THAT’S money!! I’ve been using my 530 for about a month, and learning more and more features all the time. Best buy I’ve made all year!
I’ve had mine for a month. The battery last long time. I did 100 mile ride and battery held and was only 50% when done. Gives you heads up on sharp turns in your route prior. Great warning system. Def a must buy. And it connects easily to garmin connect and strava.
I feel like I went from an Abacus to a Super Computer. I strayed from Garmin and tried the W brand. I am SO HAPPY I cam back to Garmin and the Edge 530 is a fantastic piece of cycling gear. The ease of set up, the device quality, the information/feedback it provides me and the tools it gives to a road cyclist are TOP NOTCH!!!
I've had a Garmin Fenix, which I love, and got this new 530 to replace my existing bike computer. It has a ton more features, particularly the training stuff and maps, which work so much better and the user-interface was very easy to figure out. With no looks to the manuals, I was able to add screens and get it working with my Strava account. I'm a happy biker.
