Unhappy. I bought it. I liked it so much the first day I bought the radar system the second day. And then the screen went blank

Nice to have a longer battery life. Learning curve required due to the difference in setting up user profiles - personally like the 520plus over the 530 but nothing to stop recommending it over the 520 plus. Several functions added that road bike riders will not be interested. I am glad they did not go with a touch screen.
I bought this device for my birthday and I have really liked every feature that comes with it. It is life-changing for my cycling activities and it is really cool to have all the information given real-time. There is only one thing... I live in Colombia and navigation in my zone with the device is limited. Maps and roads should be better.
I have had this Edge 530 for a month and still have not been able to get it to work. I have linked to my smart phone but have not been able to get it to follow a ride. I used a Edge 500 for many years and never had problems with it till the battery died. I should have replaced it with the 500. The owner's manual is worthless and does not explain how to set it up or how to track rides.
I am still trying to figure out the advanges if having the 530 or any Bike Computer vs. using one of the several GPS Apps I can load on my cellphone ... Also, impossible to read the display during the day with my sunglasses on !
I changed from my wahoo roam and it's being kind of difficult to keep my training peaks activities since cant view cadence target and power target at same time.

Bought this when I broke my 520. Have only used a few times but so far it’s a step backwards in usability. Set up is an absolute PITA. Buttons are hard to see and the front ones even harder to press. That’s a significant problem because doing anything with this requires pushing multiple buttons. Nothing is intuitive suppose the upside of this is that it has a ton of functions, but I find all beyond the basics to be of no value to me. There’s a lot of automated stuff that just gets in the way. For instance I was out for a ride yesterday and it started flashing turns even though I hadn’t set up navigation and counting random laps even though I hadn’t set up laps. I assume the automated stuff can be turned off, but the thought of scrolling through countless screens to do so is a turn off. I’ve owned several Garmin products and always found them to be reliable (which is why I bought this) but the user-unfriendliness of this is a deal killer. If Garmin ever produces a 530EZ, I might be interested but for now I really wish I would have purchased a Wahoo Bolt v2.
