Replaced my Edge 810. 810 is better. Buttons are not as intuitive and the settings options are less than expected. Good battery life.

My Edge 530 is a really bad bike computer like all of Garmin comoutwrs that I owned before.

Force people through a process that syncs data to a service that they don't want in order to get firmware updates. Make people figure out how to turn it off and then find out you can't update device configurations without sync enabled.
All I want is to be able to update firmware/maps and configure the myriad of settings on the device without having to use the minimalist UI on the device (for ease of setup). Nothing more, nothing less. Can we not make this that difficult?

I received this for my birthday. After having ridden for years (touring, primarily) without a trip computer I cannot imagine doing so without one now. I originally considered the Wahoo equivalent to the Edge 530, but chose the Edge as the screen displays are so much easier to read. The only issue was setup. Learning the functions of 6 different buttons (touch screen not available on this model) was a chore. It took several YouTube views to finally understand the how's and why's. Once that was out of the way, it's been a breeze to use. It wasn't immediately intuitive to me as an older rider (67 y/o) as it may be for the more computer savvy. Still, I'm very happy with its performance and have come to rely on it whenever I go out on a trip.
1. No possibility to enter an address 2. No possibility to set favorites, waypoints or other via garmin connect 3. Contains a lot of functions I don’t need and is useable only though Komoot for my purposes Garmin Edge Explore might have been better suiting, it is not available.

No matter what I do, I can't get it to pair it with my iPhone. Very frustrating as my 235J works perfectly well but Edge 530 freezes Connect app as soon I try to pair it. Absolute garbage.
