Lots of awesome feature, lots of missing features

The device is awesome. It looks sleek, gives me all the info I need right in front of my eyes, and makes me feel like I'm driving a high-end car. The GPS tracking is highly accurate and even the speed and gradient data feels spot on. It will even build you a training plan and prompt you with that day's workouts when you start your ride. I used this to train for a 75 mile race, and since I had never trained for a bike race before, this was super valuable.
However, software is Garmin's weakness. It doesn't play well with Garmin watches, which is frustrating. Also, the phone app (the way to interact with the device) isn't intuitive and lacks features like sharing bike workouts.

Great display and directions

I have been using the 530 Edge and it has been a major upgrade from my 520. The display is much better.

An awesome addition to my mountain and my road bike

I like the fact I can move this computer head back and forth from my mountain bike and my road bike simply by choosing which bike on the start up screen.
I did need to reference the Garmin website when I upgraded my road bike to DI2. Between the Garmin website and the Shimano app, it wasn't that hard.

I am not pleased with my Garmin. I know some of my problems are caused by me, but I have found the Garmin has too many bells and whistles. I am old school, keep it simple stupid kind of guy. I just want my Garmin to give me simple data, I.e. speed, time , average speed. It provides the user with so many options that I am overwhelmed and yet forgetting what button to push and when. My son tells me it’s the best, but so far I am not happy. Hopefully in time I will figure it out.

Great features - Zero Durability

I have (had) Garmin 10 years. Yet, from 530 series, it is only pain. Every 6-12 months repairs, losing barometer, or when rain catch you - it is dead completely. Garmin 530 is only good for City rides and sunny Sundays. I am just now again filling repair, as 3rd time in row, during rain - computer died.

Meets all standards for the serious rider. I typically devote 15-20hrs a week into riding and this interface accommodates all my needs from different terrain and indoor riding alike. Compatibility across devices is seamless as well. Backlight is nice, no glare in the southern sun.
