A couple of years old, but my favorite bike computer.

I know the 530 is a few years old, but it is all you need for recording your easy no-drop rides or your leg-ripper hard rides. I had no issues linking it to any Bluetooth or Ant+ product, it's battery lasts more than a couple of 100 mile rides and its navigation is spot on.
It lacks the touchscreen functionality and doesn't allow you to type specific addresses and have the computer calculate the route. But if you feel that's important, get one of the Edge 1030/1040/830/840.
I use this this computer for both road riding and mountain riding. It works perfect for both. It also have multiple activity profiles so I can swap it between my road bike, my mountain bike, my ebike, and my indoor trainer. It is the best cycling computer for the money. The only thing I don't like is all the buttons. It is occasionally hard to navigate between screens and options especially while riding.
Edge 530 Sensor Bundle has cadence unit missing. Head unit would not link to I Phone 7. Very irritating.

All of the features and buttons are familiar to my old 520. It made it easy for me to adapt. Its the same but better in many ways with even more features. Sometimes I ride at night so its nice that if I put my hands over the 530, it lights up and I can see the display. If also inverts the back ground to black, so its not so bright. Loving it so far.
My original garmin 530 crashed. After a frustrating time trying to find answers on line I talked to my local bike shop and they put me in touch directly with the service center in KC. Previously had been communicating with London? Spoke with excellent tech(after getting through the phone tree - I didn't realize Garmin had so many products!) who concluded my device was dead. Said pack it up and we'll send you a new one. I am super stoked! and back on the road. And connected to tracker so that my wife can follow my route - she's super stoked, too. She originally suggested I get a garmin. I was reluctant but sure do love it now. Thanks again. Phil Filbrandt
