Could Use Some Fine Tuning
on August 24, 2018

I was super excited to try this swing given all the features it comes with but overall disappointed with its performance. The cry detection initially did not detect my son's cry. I'm not sure if it's because he's a newborn (he's currently 4 weeks old) or the sensitivity of the sensor. Once it did detect his cries, I feel like it shuffled too quickly thru the options when attempting to calm him. The swing would also kick into the highest speed at times which was more alerting than calming. Honestly my son likes it best when it's not moving, with some vibration and white noise. I like being able to save settings that he has responded well to. That is my favorite feature.
The rocker is easy to remove and although I don't move it around to different rooms yet, I can see this as a perk as he grows. I'm hoping that as my son gets older, my opinion on this swing improves.
Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this Baby Swing.

Love this swing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This swing is awesome, it can swing front to back & side to side. There are 4 different motions all with 3 different speed levels (low medium & high) 2 levels of vibration, music, womb & nature sounds this swing really has it all as it also turns into a rocker if you disconnect it from the base. My only complaints are as follows: 1-the base is pretty heavy making it difficult to move from room to room. I recommend leaving it in one room. 2-sometimes if the tv is too loud the cry detection tech interprets that as the baby crying and tries to “calm” baby, cycling through all of the different setting combinations. If there was an option to turn off the cry detection technology that would make this swing absolutely perfect. Other than that, both baby and I love the swing! Highly recommend!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Cool swing!

Thanks to WeeSpring Parent panel we were able to test this swing out with our baby girl! Pros - It was very easy to assemble, about three pieces. I love the colors and my baby loves the design of the seat. The seat makes her feel safe and snug, unlike other swings we have tried. I love love that you can remove the seat and take it with you wherever......we even took it to a friends house! I also love that you can rotate the seat so the baby is facing you or facing the side so that the swing motion is front to back or side to side....most other swings do not have this feature. While I really love this swing and so does my baby Iam not sure if my model is defective or if this is how its supposed to be. The movement of the swing is very jerky and not smooth, to the point where i shut it off because she looks like she is getting whiplash. Sometimes when i choose a motion setting it moves to a position and then just sits in one place and doesn't move. I love the cry detection feather ( when it works) if my baby squeals or coos it changes settings when really she was happy....or sometimes it dosn't change when she is crying. I really do think that maybe something is just wrong with this model and despite it being jerky and shaky my baby does love it! I would recommend it to a friends, but maybe suggest calling the company to get some tips.

The Cadillac of Swings!!

The Graco Sense2Soothe swing is hands down the coolest baby gadget we have ever tried! This would have been amazing with my older kids (who had Graco swings too! But they are nearly teens now), especially my oldest son. The fact that you get a rocker/bouncer style chair as well as a swing (which we had no problems at all taking the rocker off the swing base or putting it on again) truly gives you your moneys worth. Not only are you getting a soothing swing but a rocker too.
Putting this together wasnt hard at all and the instructions were clear. Honestly it didnt take me more than 5 minutes (with a busy toddler 'helping'). Just 2 simple steps! I really enjoyed the ability to program the type of movements that my child is calmed by, and when the cry detection is picked up, it automatically does what I programed to calm my baby down. What other baby item on the market right now can do that? (Seriously, I wish this was out nearly 13 years ago! This is the coolest). Plus the size it takes up isnt much at all. Bubs sleeps in our room and it doesnt feel crowded at all!
We have a fussy Bub that loves to be held upright and bounced and soothed (basically not flat on his back) and this kept him content. I cant say enough great things about this swing. It's able to give me a chance to go use the rest room or even just tidy a room and my little guy is happy. If he starts crying, it kicks on to soothe him back into dreamland. Plus the vibrations and soft music, its a bonus.
I 10p% recommend this swing. It is fabulous and blows the swings we had 13 and 10 years ago out of the water! It is amazing how far baby gadgets have come.
Thank you WeeSpring Parent Panel for the chance to review this product. My Bubs thanks you too!

A baby must have!

Our 6 week old daughter loves to be held, rocked, swayed or cradled. Lucky for us the Graco Sense2 Soothe Swing does all of that and then some.
At first we were a little skeptical of how well our baby would enjoy it since she was not a fan of her "regular" swing but to our relief she has been very happily enjoying the Graco Sense2 Soothe Swing for the last 2 weeks. She has even gone 4 hour stretchs sleeping happily all buckled in and swinging away. Which we are all thankful for.
Assembly was easy (taking less then 5 mins.) especially with having a plug in adapter, no battery installation need. Having a swing that can change it's motions (swing, rock, glide, vibration, sounds etc.) by the sound of babies cries is amazing and honestly what keeps my daughter so content while in it. Both my husband and I wish this swing was around when our other 4 kiddos were babies. The only down side is that occasionally if my toddler is crying too close to the swing her cries can trigger the "baby sensing technology" and actually change the swings motions occasionally awakening a very happily sleeping baby. However; it really is an amazing feature, one we now don't want to live without.
I love being able to disconnect the seat from the base and move baby from room to room with me as I go about my daily tasks. I also love that this swing offers different motions allowing for baby to be comfortable and content no matter her mood.
Thank you to WeeSpring Parent Panel for sending us (really all 7 of us) this swing to try and review.

Like It but Don't Love It
on August 23, 2018

This is a very nice swing/rocker combo. It was super easy to assemble out of the box. It's only about 2 steps to be able to use it and doesn't require any tools. The seat is nice and deep and reclines more than the traditional swing we own. It also seems to be wider. My son is on the taller side for his age and was already outgrowing the seat on the traditional swing. He fits great in this one and he looks very comfortable! He was all smiles from the moment I sat him in it.
The customizable settings are excellent! I was able to find the exact combination of features on this swing that my son enjoyed and he stays entertained for a very long time. He's even able to take a long nap in this swing and he typically isn't a good sleeper/napper. That alone makes this swing a win for us!
I really like that the seat comes off to make a rocker. I can take my son with me to another room while I work. It removes easily and is easy to carry. My son is just as content using it as a rocker as he is with it being a swing.
This swing is such a space saver! I especially like that is fits in the corner in my living room without being an eyesore or taking up so much space. The swing we had in the past took up so much room and it drew attention to itself. Not this one!
The cry detection feature is a great idea. However, my son is old enough he coos when he's happy and it isn't able to distinguish this from a cry. Any loud noise causes the cry detection to change settings when he was already happy with what it was doing before. This actually made him upset at times. I like the feature overall but it's not great for an older infant or a noisy, chaotic household.
The included "mobile" is just very basic. It's not entertaining or engaging at all. It's made of flimsy plastic and has 2 plush toys hanging from it. I also found the movement of the swing itself to be not very smooth. My husband described it as "choppy" and I'd have to agree. Maybe this is just a flaw in the one we received but I'm not sure.
Overall, I really like this swing and it is a win for my son. I just didn't love it for the reasons listed above. It really needs to be a smoother motion and maybe find a way to distinguish a cry from just a loud noise. I would've liked to seen a feature that enables it to connect to my phone where I could control it from that. While this isn't necessarily a con, it is a suggestion.
Thanks weeSpring Parent Panel for giving me this baby swing! We are really enjoying it!

My Baby Loves It!
on August 26, 2018

I was excited to test the Graco Sense2Soothe Swing as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel, since I had just had a new baby. I received the swing a couple of weeks ago and took it out of the box immediately. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the swing looks, the neutral colors especially. It is also a smaller footprint than most swings, which I was very happy about as well. I have another popular compact swing and it was not much larger than that, which was good since our living room is small.
What I liked:
- Neutral colors, small footprint
- It seems very comfortable for baby, with a nice bucket seat, bonus that it can recline
- There are many motion and sound options, including vibration
- I love that the seat can come off to become a standalone rocker
- The toys are cute and attractive
- Very easy to assemble
- The seat can face forward or rotate to either side, which then doubles the available motions
- My 6 week old loves it!
What I didn't like:
- It's pretty loud. The TV drowns out the sound but if it's a quiet room you can definitely hear it.
- The movements are kind of jerky. Baby does not seem bothered by it though.
- For a tech-driven product, I was surprised that it doesn't have an app to control from your phone. It would have been very convenient, especially if you're across the room when baby starts to fuss.
- I haven't yet noticed the sense2soothe activate, and my baby has cried quite loudly in it a couple of times. I'm not sure exactly how it is sensed, but I was a little disappointed that it doesn't seem to recognize when he needs to be soothed, at least not before I go comfort him.
I wasn't initially sure if I was going to keep using the swing after I tested it out, because my baby did like our other one pretty well. But he's slept for several hours at a time in this one, which is so nice when I'm trying to clean or eat dinner or give attention to my toddler. I really do wish the swing had an app, but otherwise I would recommend it to a friend for sure.

Great movement but cry detection was hit or miss
on August 26, 2018

I was excited to receive the Graco Sense2Sooth swing to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. The main feature to set this swing apart from others is that it was designed to be a "smart" swing that changes it's settings when it senses the baby's cry. It can be used in "Graco Mode," which cycles through 8 preset sequences, OR in "Parent Mode," which allows the parent to predetermine the settings based on their baby's preferences. The cry detection feature only worked about 50% of the time for us. I like the idea, but it seems hard to put into play with the assumption that the swing will be placed in a busy room with other noises to filter out. Regardless, there are other aspects that make this a great product. To me, the most important feature in a swing is whether the motion is able to keep my baby happy. This swing provides awesome movement and instantly calms my 5 month old every time we use it. There are 4 different motions and the maximum intensity level is quite high. There is an optional vibrate feature as well, all powered by an outlet with no batteries necessary. The swing can face towards the front or the side, which provides even more options so baby doesn't get bored. The seat can be removed from the base and used as a rocker (not attached to a power source, so there is no electronic motion). The whole unit is quite bulky/heavy so it's nice to have the portable seat to move room to room instead of having to buy an additional piece of baby gear for that purpose. It was difficult for me to get the hang of removing and replacing the rocker. The back part always seemed to get stuck, which made me nervous that I was going to damage something when trying to move it. The swing has a modern aesthetic with a nice pattern. This is important to me because I like my baby gear to blend in with my home. The material feels soft and comfortable and there are 2 cute toys on the little mobile. There are 10 different songs, 4 nature sounds, and 1 white noise option. The swing will cycle through the 10 songs, but you can also skip through them if desired. The swing itself is a bit noisy as it moves. It can also start out jerky or too slow and sometimes needs manual directing to get the motion going at the right pace. Despite the few glitches, this is a great option for someone who wants something with lots of movement options and more features than an average swing.
