Only one complaint...

Graco has plenty of designers who can make their car seats look nice, feel soft, etc. and work well in accidents... but they can't find a designer who can make the canopy go smoothly underneath the handle when it's up?? I had this issue with my Snugride 40 and now with this seat. When the handle is up and you try to move the canopy under it and all the way forward, it gets stuck on the handle and you have to pull harder to clear it. And if you have a light sleeper like I do, that may mean waking them up!
Otherwise I do love this seat.... just try to fix that canopy!

Sturdy, lightweight, easy to install

I was so excited to receive this carseat as a part of the WeeSpring Parent Panel! My little boy is 7months and 18lbs. The seat was a BREEZE to install. Ive installed 4 carseats and this one is by far the easiest. It is also very lightweight and simple to use in and out of the car. The canopy is sturdy and provides a good shade, yet is thin enough to allow airflow and not overheat my baby. The extra legroom is a really nice feature and I was impressed to see it didn't require me to move my seat up any further. The extra material around the head/neck area is also super sturdy and very safe. I highly recommend this seat.

Great safety rating

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I bought this car seat about a month ago. We went with a Graco infant seat because we had received a Graco travel stroller as a gift from my parents at our baby shower. We were going back and forth as to which infant seat to get. We wanted something that had padding (we drive cross country at least 3 times a year) and high safety ratings. It seemed like a lot of the other seats had one or the other. None really ticked all of the boxes that we were looking for. When we found this seat we were glad to finally find something that covered all of our wants and needs. I can't say how it actually works since we haven't used it yet, but I will definitely update my review as soon as our son is born.

This seat is Fantastic!

I was so excited when I received this car seat; I was given it to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. My little one is currently 7 months old, and like most everything else, had been using the car seat that her big sister had used. Although the old seat was still perfectly safe, it was quite worn. This car seat came completely assembled, that's right, NO THREADING THE HARNESS! The straps adjust so easily on the back of the seat. Another big convenience for me, the one hand release/adjustment of the handle. Some other seats require two hands for this, and let's face it, we don't always have two hands free! Over all, the safety features of this seat seem top notch. The cushion seems comfy for my little one, without being too bulky.
Now, on to the base for this seat. It can be used with either the car's seatbelt or LATCH system. I have always preferred LATCH; but let me tell you, the SnugLock Technology is a game changer! I no longer have to climb on top of the base and pull with all my strength to get the straps tight enough. With SnugLock, I pull the strap as tight as I comfortably can (no straining) and then snap the SnugLock arm in place. It pulls any remaining slack out of the strap and holds that base in there just right. It makes the process so much easier; I no longer dread having to move the base between vehicles.
I do have one thing I would caution people on before buying this seat. This is the only reason I am giving this seat 4 stars instead of 5. (Everything else about this seat deserves a 5 star rating) If the biggest reason for purchasing it is the 4-position extension panel that provides 3.5" of extra legroom, you should know that depending on your vehicle, you might not be able to gain that full 3.5". On the base, there is an arrow that says the base cannot hang over the edge of the seat past that point. I have had this car seat in 3 different vehicles; 2 SUV's and a full size truck. None of the seats in these vehicles are long enough to get the full 3.5" of additional extension. If I extend it all the way out, it puts that arrow beyond the edge of the seat. In my opinion, this isn't a big issue, it certainly wouldn't be a deal breaker for me; but I was disappointed when I discovered it.
Overall, I would highly recommend this car seat. It is well made, and very easy to use. Thank you to weeSpring for the opportunity to try this product. I have been so happy with it, and look forward to its continued use.

Good not Great

We were given the opportunity to test this carseat through the weeSpring Parent Panel and we are really glad we did. There were things we liked about it and things that we didn't. Let's start out with the positives...If one of the features you are looking for is the extendable panel for extra leg room, then this carseat will definitely make you happy. We were impressed with the ease of use of the extendable panel and with the idea that it will make the car seat usable for a longer period of time than other models (and that it will allow us to keep our daughter rear-facing longer). We also really liked the anti-rebound bar, great safety feature. The accessibility of the adjustment panel for the harness and headrest was really nice, it was a breeze to adjust (even from the front seat). The headrest itself was very padded and supported our little one's head well, allowing for comfortable movement but lots of protection. Now, I know how a carseat looks isn't all that important but Graco did a really nice job with the finishing elements for this one. The materials used felt high quality and looked expensive. The canopy was one of our favorite features on the car seat. The fabric looked nice and was very breathable yet still perfectly blocked out the sun. This canopy also extended A LOT further over the seat allowing for more coverage, I REALLY liked this since our little one's eyes are very sensitive to light. The handle on the car seat was a bit longer than some other models we have used and that made it a bit easier to maneuver, we also really liked that you could raise and lower it with just one hand. I have had some serious complications postpartum and lifting heavy objects is difficult for me, so the fact that this carseat was among the lighter models is a big mark in the positive column (You don't really think about a pound or two until you can't lift things like you used to!). Now, on to the drawbacks...one of the biggest negatives we found was the ease of tightening harness, it was easy to adjust from the back to hit in the right place on our daughter's body but, making the actual harness straps tight enough for safe riding, was a pain. Not only did we find it extremely difficult to tighten but as we did so it didn't seem to tighten appropriately. The chest bar didn't become more secure but the shoulder straps moved inwards then proceeded to rub our little one leaving red marks on her shoulders and neck. Because of this I didn't feel like our daughter was as secure as she could be and she definitely wasn't as comfortable. Installing the carseat wasn't terribly difficult but it wasn't as easy as other models we have tried, so if you are looking to be able to use the carseat in various cars I would recommend purchasing a separate base, because moving it will take some extra time. Overall, the Graco SnugRide SnugLock Extend2Fit 35 was a good carseat (thank you weeSpring Parent Panel for letting us try this one out!!) It will keep your little one safe and has some really nice features. Unfortunately, the few negatives we experienced were made this carseat is not our favorite and unlikely that it would be our top recommendation.

Safe & Easy!

We received the SnugRide SnugLock Extend2Fit 35 as part of the Weespring Parent Portal.
Its a really nice infant carseat. We like the easy to adjust harness and headrest. The insert for the headrest grow with the baby so you dont feel like you’re losing any protection or safety. The base is adjustable for incline and easy to install. You can install it two different ways in your car, which is really nice if you travel. I also like the button at the top of the handle versus the sides how it’s traditionally is designed on seat. The adjustable foot rest is also really nice to grow with the baby and remain rear facing.
Overall, really nice, durable, safe, and easy to use.

Very convenient for our busy household

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We originally went to a big box store and were completely overwhelmed by all of the choices. The store associate told us that Graco carseats may meet all our needs of affordability, quality materials and ease of use. I'm so happy we went with this car seat so we can get a long shelf life out of it because itll extend to fit the baby as they grow. Also it works wonders with the modes stroller. All in all we are very pleased with our purchase and even received an extra seat for a second car for free pursuant to a promotion! I would highly recommend new parents to give this car seat a shot!

Excellent features and new design

I just bought this car seat in design Haven last week and received it today. Baby is due 3-10-19. I fell in love with the design and features after seeing a video. The Black and Tan colors are sleek and very classy. Perfectly gender neutral. I love the way the shoulder straps adjust with the squeeze of a button. The way the carrying handle adjusts with the press of 1 button is a much more practical feature! The seat itself is very cushiony. The adjustable canopy is 100% quiet and won’t jolt a sleeping baby awake. I am impressed with the super easy base installation! I think this car seat is going to be great for our newest addition!
Now for the bad. I am REALLY upset with the placement and location of the warning labels. They are ironed right on EACH side of the head supports. They’re large and in charge and UGLY. I think Graco could have found a much better location for them; such as on the side were baby’s legs will be?! That’s just my opinion.
As a side note I was not given this seat to write a review... I purchased this on Targets website for my own personal use and was so disappointed with the Warning label placements came straight to Graco to write a review.
