Great quality car seat for the price!

This is a great quality car seat for the price--The materials are soft and high-quality--And rival those of other more expensive car seats I've tried. Having TWO cupholders is great for kids to put both their snacks and a drink in, and adjusting the straps is so simple with the automatic rethreading based on height. Installing the cupholders was a bit of a pain, but once they're in, they seem to stay put. The sides are a bit high on this seat, so that might make getting smaller babies in and out of it a bit more complicated, but it's fine with toddlers who are able to crawl up into the seat themselves.The only drawback of this seat might be its narrowness--I have pretty big kids, and I don't see this carseat lasting too long with them. It's great for more petite kids though, or someone that has a more narrow seat width in their car. Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this car seat--I love Graco seats in general, and this one is no exception!

Single car seat to see your kid through all ages

The Graco Sequence 65 Convertible Car Seat is clearly intended to be the only car seat you'll need for your child, from newborn to toddler. It can be front or rear-facing, reclines, has an easily adjustable harness system and headrest, extra padding for newborns...even cup holders, which basically start out as pacifier/lovey holders, and can eventually hold bottles, etc. Our boy is a newborn, so I can't speak for how the seat fits older kids, but the additional padding worked well for him -- he fussed for a bit as we adjusted the harness, then was immediately comfortable and out like a light when the car started, and stayed asleep until we had to lift him out again.
First impression: this is much heavier than the infant car seat we currently use. This is because it's meant to be a permanent fixture, not something you carry with you. It's slightly odd that this doesn't come manufactured with the cup holders already installed.... I didn't find the instructions in the manual very helpful, but looking at the seat, it's pretty obvious how to install them: You need to remove the slipcover. (The manual says this -- it just doesn't say how to do it.) To do this, you just tip the seat back and unlatch the cover on each side -- there's a little plastic hook that holds it in place -- and it's actually quite easy. Then, just pop in the cup holders and put the cover back on.
The LATCH system was really clear -- it's very easy to find the buckles and connect them to the car. But because this seat is intended to last through so many ages/weight ranges, it's more difficult to know whether you're installing it correctly for your child's weight and age. In other words, it's slightly less foolproof than other seats, which just have one correct way to be installed. Also, if you're looking for a system with a base/stroller option, so you can just carry your babe in and out of the car in the seat-proper, this isn't that. It's made to stay in the car. So yeah, you're going to deal with your baby waking up and crying if, like ours, he was just blissfully enjoying the safe car ride home....
That said: it's a truly well-constructed seat, safe for a large range of ages/weights (which is really the MOST important thing), aesthetically pleasing (very pretty grey/purple color! that's the second most-important thing, right?), cushy and well-padded, fully adjustable with numerous reclining and headrest positions.... If you're looking for just one car seat to carry you throughout your baby-to-toddler's entire development, rather than having to buy different seats or systems as they grow, this is a fantastic option and great value.

Another great car seat by Graco!

I received this car seat as part of weeSpring Parent Panel. I was pleasantly surprised as we are currently using a much more expensive car seat by Graco—nothing can compare, right? But it matched that car seat point for point. Before I installed in the car, I set it up in my house. The only thing that was frustrating was getting the seat cover on—it may be a little hard to do after washing the cover as well, but I haven’t had to do that yet. I chalked it up to being new and everything needs a little breaking in. It was very easy to adjust the straps and get the right fit for my daughter before it was installed in the car. It was easy to recline to the right angle for my daughters comfort and just as easy to get the right set up with the latch as with the belt. We are still using this in our car—the other seat needs a good cleaning and the Sequence will be the car seat my husband uses in his truck from now on. All in all, I would recommend this car seat to anyone that is looking for a less expensive price point, but still wants the great quality and safety Graco offers.

Easy to install and love all the features

Now that our daughter is getting big enough, we were excited to try the Graco Sequence 65 Convertible Car Seat that we were given to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. To be honest, it is nice when you don't have to lug a bucket car seat around in stores and restaurants anymore. I always feel confident in the Graco brand and all baby products we have used of theirs, and this car seat does not disappoint. My husband installed the car seat and found it very easy to install with their 3 step installation and he really liked how easily it connected. We like how it has 6 positions to recline and that the inclination can be easily changed as the baby grows. The headrest height is also easy to adjust as your child grows as well. I have to say, we haven't had to use it yet, but one of the nicest features I think every parent can appreciate is how you can easily remove the cover and wash it without uninstalling the seat. Since this car seat can be used for years to come (or up to 65 lbs, whichever comes first, but let's face it, it should be several years), I can see this being the most used and appreciated feature on this car seat (aside from the safety feature). I also love the built in cup holders, seems more secure this way. We both love the safety features, and that it has a steel reinforced frame, overall we feel very safe having our daughter in this seat.

Super EASY to install. We have bought several carseats for our 4 kids over the years and this is by far our FAVORITE!!
