Greatest Car Seat/Travel System!

My family has loved the Graco Snugride Snuglock car seat system! It’s so easy to pop the seat in and out of the base and the stroller. I don’t think we could have survived the first months of my son’s life without the ease and safety of this car seat. It’s also not too difficult to disassemble and reassemble to clean, which is a plus!

The sun shade gets in the way of the carry handle when adjusting the handle, and pulls off its Velcro attachments. Makes it feel like the sun shade was a feature they threw on after development.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never taken the time to write a review before but this seat has been SUCH a disappointment to us that we felt we needed to write one to warm other parents.
We have found it unsafe & frustrating.

1) Hazzard for suffocation: Despite installing it and adjusting the seat exactly according to manual instructions, our baby’s head would fall forward when she fell asleep. We had to watch her so carefully and we never were able to relax on car rides. We had to adjust the incline of the seat by ignoring the bubble indicator in order to keep her safe. When she got a little bigger her head would flop from side to side when she was sleeping because there is no head support with this seat after the newborn stage since the little removable cushion provided pushes their head forward.
2) The harness system in this seat is Horrible! We were late for how many events?! trying to untwist the belts. If that’s not enough to give a parent stress.... the shoulder strap is dangerously close to baby’s neck. How does that even pass safety inspections?! We are constantly trying to get that strap tucked under clothing and away from her neck.

Now our daughter is into her next seat. A friend gifted us the Argos 65 and it had the Same problems! Her head falls forward and the strap is terribly close to her neck. We are meticulous with installation and instructions. These seats have added unnecessary stress to our travels and we travel a lot. I think we’re done with Graco car seats.

Disappointed! Will not last until 1st year!!!

This car seat worked well the first 4 months I would say but as my baby grows it’s beginning to become uncomfortable for both baby and I. At only 15lbs he seem to have almost outgrown the seat. It’s always a struggle to get him out of the seat.
