Be warned about the headrest

I was really excited about the quality of this car seat, but quickly realized the headrest would be an issue, I think if I purchased this for a newborn I wouldn’t notice but I bought it for my 24 lb toddler, and the headrest is a huge problem and we had to return it. It was so snug on the sides of her head that she had her head wedged in it like she was in a neck brace. She did not like that and it caused her to overheat from the fabric being snug on 3 sides of her head.
I wish the opening was wider or the headrest was adjustable or removable- it is not.
Be warned if you are hoping to use this up to the weight capacity, I think this would have begun to be an issue around 6 months for us.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this carseat, however the button to put the handle down keeps getting stuck, and the car seat is becoming more difficult to take out of base as in getting stuck.

Great for first time parents

Was comfortable for baby while giving me a good sense of safety and security. I also loved that it was able to click and go between the base in the car and the graco strollers

Graco is the best

I bought three of these car seats after we found out we're having triplets. We are so excited they are all girls. All three girls love them they are now 4 1/2 months old, weighing all in the 14 pounds. They look comfortable and I KNOW they are safe. We have 2 older kids both girls they are 5 and 7 and they both have the Graco 4Ever and both still in the 5 point
harness and my 5 yr old weighs 63 pounds and my 7 yr old weighs 78 pounds.So I know they are safe in Graco car seats.

Easy to Install

I have always used Graco brand car seats and this one is by far my favorite. I love the that it tightens and secures the seat belt for me! I feel much better knowing that my baby is safe and secure. It's so easy to install, even my husband can do it! The car seat is very lightweight and unlike every other car seat I have owned, you only need one hand to move the handle! This is so convenient for moms on the go! The sun shade is also nearly silent unlike other models I have owned. It is so much easier keeping the baby asleep! I was graciously provided a car seat for testing purposes, and all opinions are my own.

Safe, but low quality build

First off, I feel this is perfectly safe. I have several minor complaints though. First, the base doesn’t sit quite straight in my car. If you’re installing in a middle seat, your car might not have LATCH in the middle seat, and you’ll need to use the seatbelt. If you have a combination seat/ shoulder belt; just know there are other designs/ brands of base that will work better with a standard seat belt. See my pictures for more detail, it’s complicated to explain. Second, the seat rattles in the base, and I know it’s not the base, because we have a different base in a different car, and it rattles in that one too. The sun shade also comes un-velcroed easily, and sits a little crooked (see picture). The seat pads are easy to take off to clean, but the fabric is difficult to get poo stains out of. The chest clip rattles a little bit when buckled, but it stays clipped. I’ve also noticed other brands of infant seat have better padding around the head, but it hasn’t been a big problem. The sun shade feels like cheap material, and it bunches at the top of the seat, to the point that I’m worried it might hit the baby’s head when they’re taller. I feel my baby is perfectly safe, but this is one item I wish I’d spent more money on to have a fancier car seat.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
