Comfortable for baby

I love the car seat. I have only used it in rear facing position but it is great ! my daughter seems much more comfortable in it & I love the recline options. Very heavy car seat. I love that it has TWO cup holders. One thing.. if you don’t have a 2005 or newer vehicle and have to use the seatbelt option instead of the latches it is a little more complicated... that being said the latches are awesome and I love how you can clip them up inside so they are out of the way. I have not been able to see all the awesome features of this car seat fully because my daughter is not big enough to use them yet.

One of Favorite Baby Items to Date!
on February 17, 2017

My daughter will soon be turning one and this is usually the age that I start looking to switch my children from an infant seat to a convertible car seat. The Graco 4ever Extend-2-Fit Car Seat is a perfect transition from infant seat to convertible car seat. The InRight Latch system made installation a breeze. I was able to install the seat into my car in less than 5 minutes. I loved that if needed, I have the option to use the car’s seat belt for installation as well. The Simply Safe Adjust Harness System helped make an almost custom fit when adjusting the seat for my daughter. My daughter is long, but light in weight, so I appreciate the fact that I will be able to keep her rear-facing up to 50lbs using this seat. The additional 5 inches of legroom we will receive with the Extend2Fit 4-position extension panel is priceless in comparison to keeping her safely rear-facing longer.
This car seat is definitely one of my favorite baby items and I am ecstatic that it will be the last car seat my growing daughter will need. From 4-120lbs, you can’t go wrong with this all inclusive car seat!
I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

Want to like it, but concerned about buckle
on April 3, 2018
Posted by: 808Twins
We bought this for our twin boys who are 22 months and just started using a few months ago. They seem to be comfortable in the chair, but I'm concerned that the seat buckle is not positioned in the correct place. Once the metal pieces are buckled in, they seem to dig into the boys' inner thighs, especially with their diapers in the way. I have no idea how to resolve this issue - it's almost like the placement of the buckle is in the wrong place.

Good Idea; bad execution

4Ever Extend2Fit 4-in-1 is flawed. We own midsize vehicles such as a 2010 Lexus RX350, 2017 Subaru Outback, and a 2016 Lexus GS450H. In all 3 cars we have noticed 1 major flaw with 'Extend2Fit'; Graco has failed to list the minimal clearance/separation of the front passenger rear back to the back of the passenger seat. You can get the 'Extend2Fit' to work by moving the front seat forward then tilting the seat forward; the problem with this is that you lose the utility of having a front passenger seat. I believe the 'Extend2Fit' can work in a minivan with middle row captain's chair with adjustable rail.
Other than 'Extend2Fit' not functioning as advertised (or without major sacrifices), the seat is plush, sits in place, and my daughter sits comfortably in it. I believe for most passenger cars, Graco 4Ever might be the way to go.
Dear Graco Customer Service, I would like to escalate this issue and have supervisory give contact me. Thank you.

Good seat

I got this for my one year old a few months ago. She likes it and seems to be comfortable. My biggest issue is with the cup holders. They are constantly falling out or my daughter pulls them out. Wish they stayed in place better.

The Only Car Seat You Need to Buy!
on February 6, 2017

I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.
When shopping for our little ones, perhaps the most important baby product decision we can make is which car seat to buy. More than probably any other product, this is a product that we need to be both reliable but also to fit our needs. For my older child, we ended up going through several car seats throughout the last 9 .5 years, so for my daughter, we really wanted to choose just ONE wisely. I came up with a list of questions to ask myself in order to help figure out the right one- How long will it last- front facing? rear facing? Will it fit well in the car? Is it easy to install? Will it fit into my budget?
Recently, I was able to put the Graco 4Ever Extend2Fit to the test:
First and foremost, this is most certainly going to be the last car seat my three year old ever needs, and had we had it from infancy, it would have been the only one ever. I love that this fits infants at just 4 pounds, all the way up to kids weighing 120 pounds. Not only could both my 3 year old AND 9 year old use this seat (my oldest using as a booster, my youngest as a car seat), even *I* could actually fit in this seat too. I have no doubts that my daughter will remain in this seat until she is able to ride without one at all.
For us, extended rearfacing is definitely a selling point. I loved that this goes up to 50 pounds for rear facing. At 3 years old, my daughter is only about 32 pounds, so she still has a ton of room to grow and still remain rearfacing. One argument I always hear against rearfacing is lack of leg room, so the extension panel was definitely a huge plus. I can see this being even more useful for kids with longer legs (unlike my more petite daughter). It is easy to adjust and truly does give your little one more room if needed.
This does however bring me to my next point- fit in the car. Now, my husband drives a two door Jeep, so finding a car seat that fits well in his vehicle can most definitely be a challenge. Without the extender, this one fit great... a much easier in and out than other car seats we'd used in the past. However, we did discover that with the extender, it did not work in his vehicle. It would still fit great in a typical car seat, but for a more compact vehicle, you might find that you can not use this particular feature.
To test out the installation, we decided to try both front facing AND rear facing, using the latch system. Both were incredibly easy. The instructions were easy to understand and follow and the installation itself was simple to do, I loved the easy to read level indicator to make sure you have the recline correct in the rear facing position. Now, we did not venture into converting to a high-back or backless booster just yet as we aren't close to those stages, but if it is as easy as other adjustments, it should be fairly simple I think.
One of my least favorite parts of any new car seat is adjusting the straps to where they need to be. So often the instructions are complicated to understand, or it's just hard to physically accomplish. I again found this car seat very user friendly. I was able to quickly and easily adjust the straps as needed to better fit my daughter. This made me feel much more comfortable knowing she is getting the best fit to keep her safe in the event of an accident.
And of course, the final question: is it budget friendly? Now, upon first glance the price tag may seem a little high, but when you consider that this TRULY is 4 car seats in one, eliminating the need to buy any additional car seat for the next 10 years, this really is a very budget friendly seat, saving you the expense over the years having to replace and upgrade.
Overall, I am really happy with this car seat, and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a worry free car seat. Buy one, and done!

A Must for Multiples
on March 15, 2017

(I received this product for free and am sharing my honest opinion as a mom of twins) My twins are now four and entering the preschool stage, and I SO wish the Graco 4Ever All in One Car Seat is what I had been using from day one with my twins. This car seat allows kids to go from infant to booster seat with THE SAME seat! We are on our 5th and 6th car seat with the twins now that they are in booster seats, and this would have saved us so much time, and money. Converting from front to rear to booster is really simple, as you slide the seat on the base and move the reclining position. The back removes when it's time for the booster seat and there are also two cup holders which is perfect for snack and drink! My favorite feature has to be the booster ability because I have yet to find a car seat that covers EVERY stage of car seat sitting. If you have twins, this is definitely the seat you want to be using from the very beginning.
