This little dude packs a punch!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just opened my WeatherX wireless speaker, and I'm kind of blown away that it's also a power bank and a nightlight/lantern. The sound is good, and I'm a big fan of the carrying strap on top. I bought another as a gift.

Don't waste your time

This thing didn't last one year. It never charged consistently. The micro usb charge port completely broke and the regular usb port doesn't charge. Utterly useless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor interior design

My wife bought this for a Christmas gift, and it worked well for a little while. It was nice for a compact speaker. I used it infrequently while I was in the garage or working on cars. After a while, the button for the light (lower right of the four when viewed from the front) broke lose and rattled in the device. A short time later, the main power button (upper right, and K1 on the circuit board) did the same!
As that button was required to even use the product, I had nothing to lose by tearing it down. That's when my two-star review bottomed out. As you can see by my photos, not only had the two buttons broken clean away from the board, but the was no good way to remedy the poor design.
In particular, the power button needed to be held down to turn the unit on. There's no reinforcement to support that button which is attached to the side of/perpendicular to the downward force of finger pressure. Repeated use simply weakened the flimsy joint.
If you have one, consider carefully using a Q-tip or something when manually operating those buttons. And WeatherX/GPX, shame on you for putting out such a shoddy product!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
