Good buuuut...

Something that is not mentioned in the description, this has to be hooked up with an Ethernet cable to work. I’m talking directly from your modem/router. This does not have the option to connect to the internet via Wi-Fi.
I would recommend this to a friend!

That is mentioned on the product packaging, product page and support material. The DVR must be hardwired to your modem or router for remote connectivity. If you do not wish to view the system remotely, you can locally view if form a TV or monitor via HDMI. Thank you for choosing Night Owl.

Video quality could be better

We have CM-AHD10W-BU-H cameras. Very crisp even in low light. Some of them had gotten so old they needed replacing. Unfortunately those cameras aren't being manufactured any longer so we bought 2 of these instead. The quality isn't as good as the CM-AHD10W-BUH cameras. Not terrible, just slightly.

I bought this unit and added 6 wired cameras, 2 1080p wireless cameras and bought a new doorbell and added it. It let me arrange the system for my needs which made the wife and i very happy. If i want to add more cameras later on i can. I have already recommendded this product to my friends.

Needs 12 Channel Viewing Option

I bought this Hybrid DVR as soon at it was launched as an upgrade to my previous Night Owl DVR because I wanted to incorporate my Night Owl doorbell in the same system as the rest of my home cameras. The PC CMS software was not even available yet. I have been using Night Owl products for over 8 years now and I am love their systems, reliable but does not break the bank. The CMS software for the PC is now available but I am disappointed that it does not give the option to view 12 channels at a time and no playback feature either for PC. The viewing options are 1, 4, 6, 8, 9, 16, 25 channels. Do I need to remind Night Owl that this is a 12 Channel Hybrid system? Customers should have the 12 channel viewing option, especially in my case that I am using all 12 channels. I shouldn't have to use the 16 channel viewing option, just to have 4 blank channel spots on my screen. Please fix this.

Beautiful color day and night

Got this install before I went in for surgery aweek and a half ago so I'm bedridden for awhile went threw breast cancer this make me feel alot safer at home

The mobile app needs improvements. Shut off channels not being used. Recordings should allow to jump around time lines.

Easy install

Purchased and installed. Wireless cameras are awesome with sound recording also. Wired cameras have a spot light to deter thieves but 2 of the lights come on and 2 do not and I have the settings on all cameras with light turned off. One of the cameras is constantly in black and white and can’t get color but love them other than the one camera in black and white and can’t turn the spotlights off.
I would recommend this to a friend!
