Super Printer/Scanner .....

My 2nd Canon Printer/Scanner - the last one lasted me for over 8 years and is still working. Never failed me to date ….
This new MF741Cdw is so easy to operate - and so fast in responding to whatever task I require it to perform. So very fast - certainly compared to prior one. This is instantaneous - no lengthy "warmups" - nothing! Just begins immediately to work.
Copies are clear and concise. Colour function works perfectly.
Scans easily and beautifully.
I really appreciate the WIFI feature of this machine - no wires strung all over the place.
Worth every cent I paid.
6+ stars - if I was allowed to give them.

Careful if you are buying for 2-Sided Scanning

Description states: 2-Sided Scanning , but this feature is not existing on this model, you need to buy the higher one.

Don’t buy Canon

I decided to buy a new printer because currently trying to find HP ink is impossible. Always bought HP printers before, first time buying a Canon. Was told toner is better than ink by various people because ink dries out. Ok, did some looking and decided on this printer, of course not available locally and needed to order online. Showed up a week before expected delivery date.
Set up but couldn’t figure out how to get the scan to email function, manual included is useless. Called Canon, lady helped me start to set things up, included CD wouldn’t work because my computer is a few years old. Didn’t even know that you had to load the CD to your computer even if you are using the printer with wireless wifi. 40 minutes into it, she tells me my computer security or firewall won’t allow the installation to go any further and I need someone to change the firewall or security.
Then I called Geek Squad, after speaking with two different departments was transferred to a 3rd department, had to pay $55, including taxes for this one time fix transferred to another person and had to allow them to remotely access my computer. My phone call / online chat with Geek Squad started at 11am and ended at 2:24 with the scan email function issue resolved, nothing to do with my computer security or firewall. Needed a PIN for Canon printer, along with a new email address and password. I I could go on and on. And to top it off, this printer prints the colour very pale and dull. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. I never write reviews, but I don’t wish this printer on anyone!!

Not compatible with new 5g wifi. And I agree with other reviews here . Not a people friendly printer unless you are an expert . Manual does not help at all.
When it works its great but only when it works . Canon program that downloads in your pc it looks like its for windows 95 system . Wish I could get my money back. If anyone interested contact I'll give to you for HALF THE PRICE!!!

Don't waste your money. Cartridges leak, replacements same problem. Not even a year old

Single-sided scan, no duplex feature

MF741Cdw DOES NOT have a duplex scanning feature. See full specs on Canon's website
