Average, ordinary at best, reminds me of dinner coffee. We like a full body, rich, and smooth blend, this was missing something for us. It was dark, but left a bitter empty flavor.

I usually drink Peet's French Roast, however after reading the reviews on Major Dickason's Blend, I decided to try it this time. I find it very bland after drinking the French Roast. I will not order it again.

Peets Major Dickason's Blend (Dark Roast) is the best coffee that I had so far in the last 53 years. My husband and I are coffee connaiseurs. We always shop for coffee that is roasted to perfection while retaining the aroma. We have tried various coffee beans over the years including roasting raw beans. We are very pleased that we have found the perfect morning coffee. K-cups has made the Peets coffee very convenient and easy. We have tried other blends of Peets coffee. These do not have the same coffee aroma. My only regret is that I cannot buy the K-cups that are sold in larger quantities. Although cost effective, packages beyond 10 K-cups do not retain the coffee aroma for a longer time. These larger boxes are good for large gatherings where the K- cups are used right away. It would help consumers to buy large quantities if Keurig company puts an airtight wrap around 10 K-cups in these larger boxes (40 K- cups and beyond). This way consumers can open one individual pack at a time. The individual pack of 10 I am requesting is no different than how Lipton company markets tea bags in a box of 100 (20 per individual pack).

Most of the reviews on this coffee are off the chart, so, I tried. Only after I ordered, did I see the reviews saying it tastes like an "ashtray", and those were spot on. Bitter, awful-tasting. I'm going to have to force myself to use these up or offer then to visitors.

If you like stout coffee with a kick, this is for you. It's not my preference and I like coffee with a kick, but this is just a bit toooooooo heavy.

Tastes Like an Ashtray

There is not explainable reason why this coffee is getting anything above 2 stars. It tastes like an ashtray. I've had better coffee at gas stations and cheap cafes. I should have just ordered my Green Mountain, Double Diamond and Dark Magic.
