Very mixed opinions in this house

My son and I were pretty excited to try this...one of the more exotic things in the coffee drawer. My first cup was my last. I found it repulsively black and bitter. There wasn't enough sugar and cream to make it drinkable. I spit it out, rinsed my mouth, and dumped the cup down the sink. My son, on the other hand, smirked and finished his. He claims he didn't find it bitter, and thought it was good and strong. I noticed he doesn't select the Café Bustelo often, but when he does he drinks it black, 8 ounce setting. I might have been able to get past the darkness of this little cup, had the total lack of smoothness not done me in. He seems to like coffee that puts hair on your chest. For comparison, our mutal picks are Sumatran, and the Lavazza Espresso.
Pros: Not Bitter, Pleasing Roast
Cons: Bitter, Unpleasant Flavor

The coffee is ok, I did not feel that there was anything special or that hooked me at first sip. It tasted old and was unappealing. Maybe I received a bad batch?

Confusing information

I like this coffee and buy it often BUT this Keurig description is deceptive. Picture of pod top says Expresso Style. Wording description says Says expresso roast, Medium roast, Roast chart from light to dark marks it dark.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Got overly excited when I saw this in K-Cups. My sister-in-law used to drink this(good old fashioned drip coffee maker), and it was AMAZING. Nothing was the same from the K-Cup version: not as strong, had a funny smell and aftertaste. Would not buy it again, think i'll stick with Dark Magic for my dark roast fix.
