Great Receiver

Actually bought this refurbished. My old VSX 1017 has been dead for years, replaced with Sony. Horrible sound: muddy midrange, bass hump. Its "equalizer" was a bass/treble control. Decided to upgrade, glad I did. This new Pioneer has all the controls, and more, that I could ask for. Not only a beautiful initial setup - clear, crisp vocals, flat frequency from top to bottom, but goodies like, for us tweakers, bass treble, dialogue and subwoofer controls right on the remote. Equalization has been upgraded (from the 1017) from 5 to 9 channels. Only 5.2 speakers, but never used the 7.1. Bought a new 4k, 75" TV; gorgeous picture. Now have sound to match. Exactly what I wanted and needed, at a bargain price. Better picture and sound than a commercial movie theatre. Would recommend highly. Hey, that's what I'm doing!

Aucune dynamique, aucun grave. C'était pour remplacer un ampli hifi de plus de 15 ans, mais mon ancien ampli a plus de pêche et de grave que lui.Même après avoir fait tous les réglages demandés par l'appareil, le son et resté plat et sans grave. Gardé 3 heures et retour au magasin pour remboursement.

I shouldn't even know if this thing works or not. It was a gift for my husband. Husband picks up the mail and instead of it being in a nondescript best buy box, it's in the manufacturers box. So, my poor hubby tried his best not to look but you can't really help it with a giant image of what's in the box. We picked up at our post office, but if you order directly to your home....DONT. not only did this ruin a Christmas gift, but had it been delivered to a residential address, it would have probably been stolen.
Seems to work fine though, or id give best buy 1 star.

This is a very affordable receiver that supports 5.2 surround and 4K Dolby Vision. Great budget option for anyone looking for premium features at a reasonable price.
Make sure you use the right HDMI cables to ensure you're getting the most out of your receiver.

Overall it was easy to set up and playback is good for the price. However like many when trying to update the firmware for Dolby Atmos the receiver does not recognize the USB stick. I am going to buy a new USB to hopefully get past this issue.

Great Sound

After my old receiver stopped working, I finally decided to upgrade my receiver. I bought my old receiver back in the early 2000's and boy has the technology improved. The sound is so crisp now. The set-up was very easy and the receiver basically did all the work for me! It's been a month and cannot complain at all. Also, it was delivered in less than 24 hours! Great sound and easy to use.
