Since buying our home, we've spent a lot of time in our basement. It's an older model house, and for some odd reason they ran heating ducts in the utility room but not the front of the basement. We've been using it for our family room but with winter months and the brutal cold we have been getting it's been cold. We've been bundled up in the basement which doubles as our family room with blankets, sweatshirts, socks, and we would still feel cold. When I received my NewAir DiamondHeat Convection Heater, I immediately opened it up for sure. It was so easy to assemble. The legs has small wheels, that needed to be attached, it took about one minute to put all four on. You do need a screwdriver to attach the legs to the unit. Once they are attached you just plug it in and go. Within five second I could feel the heat coming from the unit. This is is amazingly quiet, unlike any other portable heater I've used in the past. You don't hear anything from it at all. You know it's in use when the small orange light on the front of the unit is lit. The knobs on the side are straightforward and easy to control. I also like that you have the option to hang this on the wall, keeping it out of the way of small children and pets if necessary. I've only been using it a few days, but I can already tell it's helping us save on our energy bills. I don't have to turn the heat up higher to get the back room to warm up the basement. We only use the NewAir DiamondHeat Convection Heater in our family room, and it keeps us all warm and toasty.

I received this heater about a week ago and I'm so impressed with it! Not only is a nice looking heater but it's very efficient as well. I really like the automatic shut off in case it should be knocked over, it shuts itself off so it won't start a fire. I also like that you can choose between 750 watt setting to save on the power bill or the 1500 watt setting to quickly heat a room. The slim design is a real space saver, and this heater can be wall mounted or free standing on the easy rolling casters.This heater is completely silent, no fan, this is the first convection heater that I've ever owned. I'm so happy with this heater and I'd recommend it to friends and family.

I purchased this particular unit because of the modern design, and I liked that it could be mounted on the wall. Unfortunately, the unit quit working. Fortunately, it quit working before I was able to mount it on the wall, too. The unit also made a lot of crackling noise when I would turn the heat up. I gave this review 3 stars because they agreed to send me another unit. I would have preferred the same unit to try again. But this one is out of stock for quite a while. I trust that the new unit will be comparable but last longer this time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I stay in New England and we had back to back winter storms yesterday and today. We have centralized heating in our apartment and sometimes, thats not enough to keep the apartment warm enough for our newborn. This is a slim profile tall heater and can be easily mounted on the wall. It heats up quickly and the heat, being convection, is gentle and soothing. Also, I don't have to place it to face me. I can place it in any corner and the whole room heats up gradually. The included stand keeps it up and sturdy and the option to add the included wheels is neat. Doesnt look too bad either and the best thing is its super quiet, so my baby can sleep without any disturbances - from the cold or from noise.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Silent and effective

It's doing a great job. It's nice that it's completely silent, and it works really well overall. It's been able to heat rooms with tall ceilings better than we expected, at least when the door to the room is closed.

NewAir panel convection heater

The space heater is very nice, very quiet. I like the flat panel design and the wheels to shift and move around. It heats up nicely. I noticed the unit can get hot if left on too long and too high a temperature but it's a great heater!
