Don't Buy for the Keurig Feature

I bought this 2 days ago. Hot water worked perfectly, attached Keurig adapter and got half a cup of coffee. Opened the left door and found out where the other half was, leaking out the bottom. Took the Keurig adapter off, washed it, checked it and noticed all the coffee grounds were in the top. So I cleaned it and blew out the debris. Made a cup of coffee. This morning, all excited to have my first morning coffee with it, I attach the adapter and wait for hot water (which is a timely function, I might add). When ready I turn and press the button the coffee begins to fill my cup, I am so excited. Then 1/4 cup of coffee I notice coffee leaking from the seam, then out the top and then all of the sudden it like explodes out the top and there are grounds and coffee EVERYWHERE. You can imagine my disappointment. Now, as I am somewhat of a Keurig connoisseur, I know the problems Keurig has had with the newer models. Such as the 2.0 will only use specially labeled K-cups, and even with them it is hit and miss. Their own brand, Green Mountain, sometimes gives you half a cup and sometimes it doesn't. So, not only did they change the top label, but somewhere they have changed the cup itself. As, they are also hit and miss in the old Keurig as well. So, as my title says, if you are buying this for the Keurig feature, save your money.

Very Noisy

We bought the whole Cafe line. They look good and the other equipment has been ok (other problems with poor quality materials abound however), but the refrigerator has been very dissapointing. It is the loudest refrigerator i've ever heard. We've had multiple trips by the repairman (very nice guy) but he can't do anything. I'm stuck now since we have the whole lineup otherwise i'd get rid of this fridge and go get an LG. Save your money. Buy something else.

Thought the Kurig system would be a nice feature, it is ,but should have been product tested longer before selling it to the consumer.

Less than impressed with Keurig Feature

Was so excited to purchase this refrigerator with hot water and a Keurig at the push of a button, however, I realize now, it is not worth the extra money. Our experience started with the hot water not working at all upon delivery. After waiting two weeks for a part, it was determined that the problem was a kinked water house. ( Kinked from the factory). I am also very disappointed to learn that the Keurig brewer is not compatible with any resusable pods! This is something I should have researched before, but who would have guessed GE would design something that wasn't compatible with current technology. Very disappointed with this product and if I had to do it all over again I would NOT get the hot water feature.

Upgrade is not worth the extra $$

We have had this refrigerator for just about 3 months now. We are big coffee and tea drinkers and loved the idea of having the Keurig in the fridge rather than on the counter so we purchased the upgraded version. We have had nothing but issues with the dispenser; water leaks down the side of the fridge, coffee grounds get in your cup most of the time and we have noticed that the ice in the ice machine melts into one big icy mess if you use the hot water dispenser several times in a row. I think the idea is ingenious but it doesn't seem up to par on quality.

Great features. Some glitches...

I bought this refrigerator over a month ago and it has some features that makes it unique like the coffee pod. It is so convenient to be able to make a cup of coffee without having to buy a coffee brewer separately.
Another unique feature is that you can ask your electronic assistant -or through the Geneva app- to warm water for your cup of coffee. You can impress your friends and family with this little but impressive trick.
One flaw I have notice though, is that there have been a couple of times that I have disconnected the refrigerator from the wall in order to reset the screen functions. They will not perform as expected and it can be a nuisance when the screen doesn't react to the touch. Not a big deal but, it can be annoying.
Another flaw is that the screen doesn't have a clock. It would be nice if you could see an active screen showing a clock at all times. Hopefully, GE can look into it and release a future update.
Another flaw -and this is very important to me-, is that the ice maker takes a great deal of time to make ice and fill the (rather small) container. If you are planning in having some people around the house consuming ice cubes, you might consider to keep extra plastic bags with ice in the freezer. That way you will be able to satisfy such demand for ice cubes. For me, this is a big flaw in the design.
Overall, the refrigerator performs and delivers as expected. It is espacious. It had with two large doors that allows you full access to the shelves. I can even put a gallon of milk on the door shelves. If the refrigerator had come with a bigger ice container, I would have given it 5 stars.
I would recommend this to a friend!

My wife selected this fridge based on the Keurig feature. She is tickled to death at not having to refill the Keurig coffee maker with water so often. I personally liked the side by side we had previously better than the French doors but that was what she wanted. Do make sure you evaluate the storage carefully if you are moving from something other that a French door version. The doors definitely do not open as wide as the side by side. One of the things I read in a review that stands out as true is that this fridge is markedly louder than our previous 10 year old side by side. A great disappointment was the fact that the water dispenser did not work initially. A serviceman came in two days and made the repair but I can't understand how it made it out the door that way. We are only 30 days in but generally pleased. The dispenser makes nice sounds:)

Returned refrigerator the next day

Massive leaking from the refrigerator door to the floor starting the same day it was delivered. I so wanted to like this fridge with all the features it had. I did get a different GE model that works perfectly but not with all the bells & whistles. Such a shame.
