I got this for Christmas a few years back and I still works as it did the first time I turned it on. Best speaker on the market. Today I customized my speaker with a WVU design and I love it even more.

Amazing Sound - Versatile - GREAT battery!

I have had this boombox for a couple of months now and can honestly say that it is the best I have seen and heard, and the battery life is likely my favorite aspect, I have used this thing at work ,outside, in cool weather, at moderate volumes on and off for nearly two weeks, likely 24 hours of combined use on one charge!
The sound is great and can be loud as you will need...as a Heavy Equipment Technician, I use this in the cabinet of my service truck, and you can hear it easily around the biggest equipment out there without full volume.
Build quality is what one would expect from an HK company, you are getting what you pay for.
Buy it...love it!!!

I absolutely love my Boombox. It sounds actually mounstrous indoors, outside a little less but still plenty to be satisfied. Now what really surprised me is the fact that i have heard a clean 1000W subwoofer in a car and it might sound urealistic, but the boombox kept up surprisingly well considering the power difference 60W vs 1000W.All n all the speaker is an
absolute steal for the price of 400. VERY HIGHLY recomend, you will be satisfied with this product.

Rocks the Boat

Our family joined a boat club, but not all the boats had working stereos. You have to have tunes on the water. My son has the Extreme and recommended the Boombox for a Father’s Day gift because it’s waterproof and and sounds amazing. Well, this thing rocks! It’s is loud, clear, and the bass thumps. It will play over the engine when the boat is running and sounds as good as other high marine audio systems. And at the end of the day, you simply take it with you. I have yet to run the battery down. It will play for HOURS!! We’ve used it camping and my teenager takes it everywhere. Everybody who has heard it is amazed at the sound quality and volume and now they make me bring it wherever we go. I highly recommend this speaker if you are looking for a incredible sound you can take in all environments.

Best portable speaker I've bought from JBL. I started with the Flip 4 and went to the Charge 3 then the XTREME and now the Boombox, it has such great bass and very loud. Perfect for pool parties
