This thing has tons of low end for a boom box. Don’t let boombox fool you though This is a block party with a handle. Can consume your whole home with loud crisp JBL sound or a bad to the bone gym or shop speaker!

Bought this as a birthday gift for my husband a couple of weeks ago. It looks great but I was a bit disappointed. It's not as loud as I thought it was going to be. Can't tell when you reach the max volume, there's no indicator. I've tried putting it as loud as it gets and stepped away couple feet, I was not blown away.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not sure how i lived before without this boombox

I was reading all the reviews on this boombox and the xtreme. The price of the boombox was a little out of my comfort zone. But I am so so happy I chose the boombox. It is worth every penny! The bass is too awesome for words for a portable speaker. I actually was worried the sound would be too big for my 13 x 13 foot yome home. But it is just perfect! Probably too loud for some, but it feels like you are at a concert! I grew up in the 80s and never got to have one of those cool boomboxs. I feel like I am living my childhood dreams. Rap and hip hop sound so grand. Krishna Das' chanting is soul shaking on this boombox. Thank you jbl, I am a happy New Customer!
