I’m sure that the Apple Watch is great for someone who loves the latest technology, but I was frustrated very quickly with it. I upgraded from a Fitbit and was excited for the new additions that the Apple Watch would bring. After only a week of having it I was frustrated and looking for a way to return. For something that is VERY pricey, I was frustrated with it very early on. I felt like the Fitbit platform was much easier and friendly for someone who is looking for direct info (like steps and sleep). The apple version was harder to understand, included multiple apps and wasn’t very user friendly. The watch continually tried to connect itself to my GPS and music while I was in the car and had my phone plugged in, which drained my battery really fast. In order to get it to stop syncing to the GPS and music while in the car, I had to turn off the Bluetooth, but then had to activate it again upon exiting the car... most times I forgot. The battery life on the watch vs a Fitbit is a little ridiculous, because it is constantly trying to connect itself to things it drains SO fast, like within hours. I had to make sure I was carrying the charger with me at all times for when it died. Really I only wanted it for when I went and worked out and didn’t want to bring my phone, but the negatives outweighed the pros for me. I am now looking to go back to a newer Fitbit.
