I have always used Otter Box Defender series that had screen protection built in.
I was a little disappointed when Otter discontinued having screen protection built into the case. This time I went with the Pursuit case and Alpha glass, Alpha glass was easy to install following video directions and seems to protect the screen. My only complaints price and that the glass does not go all the way to the edge of screen

It doesn't fit well on the iphone XR with the Screenless Defender OtterBox. Don't purchase it if you are getting the the Screenless series.

Purchased a new otter box case for my new i phone XR. People complaining that that they could not hear me properly, muffled voice, sounds like talking in a box. Quickly discovered that the microphones on my phone were coved by the case. Obviously a design issue.

I bought this screen protector just after Christmas for my new iPhone XR. I'm really happy with it, would never know there was a protector on it. It doesn't smudge as easily as the previous plastic type protectors. I love how there are no bubbles on the screen and how easy it was to put on. I have not had an incident of dropping my phone, as of yet, so cannot say how it would stand up but assuming it would protect the phone. I recommend this product to others.
