DEFECTIVE PRODUCT

i hook in my new filters and no water comes out? check reddit and see tons of other people having the same problem. the pre filter needs to be shimmed for it to work properly. aquasana has acknowledged the issue and said they are working on a fix, yet still sending out the defective products to their loyal customers. thanks a lot! if you are having the same problem, open the first filter housing and add a 5” shim to the bottom. it will work.
Cons: Difficult to install, Not durable

Improper design of one of the replacement filters

Very disappointed that Aquasana continues to ship one of the filters that is too short. After assuming I was doing something wrong & attempting to reinstall more than a handful of times, I learn that it is common knowledge online that they “black” filter is too short & drops as soon as water pressure is applied.
Problem “solved” with a quarter at the bottom of the canister. Not the right answer.
Cons: Filters need replacing too often

Leaks, Leaks, Leaks

This was my third time installing filters into the 3-stage max flow system, and my third extremely frustrating experience with incessant leaks somewhere in the system.
The first time, it was faulty filter housings that didn't seat into the head correctly. Customer service sent another set. Those ones leaked as well and required propping up the filters themselves with quarters in the bottom of the housings, plus Teflon tape around the threads, before they stopped leaking.
The second time (first filter replacement), one of the housings leaked again after trying to re-seat it into the head. This time, it was a busted O-ring on the top. Aquasana has chosen to use an O-ring that can't be sourced from one's local hardware store, so after again sourcing a new housing from customer service, it stopped leaking.
This last time, the same housing started leaking after filter replacement, this time from both another bad O-ring at the top, as well as from the main thread, despite trying to seal it with Teflon tape.
The water is delicious while the system is working. Customer service is very nice. But Aquasana can't seem to build their products to spec.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times...look, the point is you can't fool me again. I purchased and installed a competing system, which worked immediately with no leaks.
Pros: Clean taste
Cons: Difficult to install, Not durable

Replacement filters

The new cartridges are too short, had to install a quarter on the bottom to get proper fit (as suggested by your call center). Without quarter I have no water flow.
This is the 3rd set with this problem. Can you find a permanent solution? Don’t want coins in my drinking water line.
Pros: Easy to clean, Clean taste, Good Water Flow

The first filter black color is not working

I purchased the replacement filters and installed them according to directions. I opened the main source slowly but when I try opening it up all the way the water stops coming..It seems like the first filter had an issue. I put the old filter back in and now I am getting water. So I will.be reaching out to Aquasana to send me another set of filters that really work.

These filters were manufactured poorly

When I installed this set of filters, the manufacture of filter 1 was too short. Because of this defect, the spring on the top did not allow intake of water into the filtration system. I contacted the company amd recieved no reply. On one of the communities we got the answer. We placed a nickel in the holder. That made up for the length of the filter and it worked.
Pros: Clean taste, Easy to install

Even a Plumber cant make it stop leaking

We have had this product for 3+ years and have had countless issues with it leaking. It was installed by a Licensed Plumber, serviced by another and still leaks. Aquasana has sent us replacement parts, but after a few months, those leak. Now its out of warrantee and apparently, knowbody wants to stand behind the product. I'm out plumber fees, cost of the damage to the wood under my sink and total frustration with the company. DONT BY THIS PRODUCT!
Pros: Nice faucet
Cons: Not durable
