The product was returned because it was plastic, cheaply made and looked as if it would leak at any minute. The amount of money that I would have had to put into the product coupled with the product cost and the propensity of it to crack and leak, made it not a good fit for me and my family.
This unit replaces our previous system (also from aquasana) The faucet is not made well. Materials seem barely adaquate compared to the old one. Feels flimsy. Requires frequent tightening . The filters themselves seem fine. No issues with them.
Pros: Clean taste
Cons: Not durable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Installation was simple, water taste great Even thou NY water is considered the best in the world, I rest easy knowing that Im drinking good clean water I have one CON for me personally, the hose from the filter to the faucet should be longer, the only spot I'm able to place it has the hose a little on the tight side. Besides that I'm pretty happy!
Pros: No odor, Clean taste, Durable, Nice faucet, Easy to install
Install was a breeze with no leaks, I am disappointed at the flow rate though.
Pros: Easy to install
Cons: Slow pour
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We have enjoyed our new Aquasana water filter system. Our local water often had high chlorination levels which really affected the taste of our water. Our filtered water tastes fantastic.
Pros: No odor, Clean taste, Easy to install
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a poor product compared to the original

Replaced my original Aquasana drinking water filter with this as it had a very slight leak and a repair kit is no longer available. Installation was a nightmare as the tube is no longer preinstalled in the faucet, so I had to go under the sink and try to tighten. Also the base of faucet itself is skimpy and too small for standard pre-drilled SS sink holes. I had to use some of the old hardware to make it stable. Also screws and plastic inserts are way too small to securely hold what is now a very heavy filter assembly. The older model had a bracket that held the filter assembly securely. As far as opening the filter canister; it was impossible for me to do. My 6'4" 220 lb. husband finally took it out to my workshop and used my vice to hold it and then he could remove the cap. The older one? Simply use a socket wrench to open the canisters and replace the cartridge. Why??? In the future; I expect this unit to leak at the tube connection to the faucet where it is impossible to get a wrench in there even using a long handle faucet wrench. I also expect entire faucet to loosen as it is too small for standard pre-drilled holes. I'm not happy.
