Maybe a good product but not well thought out….

Just finished installation of the under counter unit after going through some gymnastics to reroute the dishwasher air loop to use that hole for the dedicated spigot. It all went together pretty well but these things could be different:
* the splitter (tee) to install at the supply side could have a dedicated valve. Wouldn’t cost that much more and would make it easier to change filters.
* the indicator light should be mounted on the face of the unit, not on the top. I can’t imagine mounting it the recommended 12” off the floor of the kitchen cabinet, then having space to stick one’s head in to see if the LED is red or green….
* The instructions should tell how to change the orientation of the handle on the valve on the spigot. I had to place it on the right side, away from our kitchen faucet’s handle and now the operation is awkward….lift it up, away from you to turn water on. I’ll be trying to change that soon.
* conventional practice is that when the handle is in-line with the flow, it is on, when across, it is off. This one is backwards. Straight down is off, 90 deg back is on.

It works, removes chlorine odors, the water flow is good, convenient. The faucet is awkward, first of all it is narrower than the hole in the sink, so the rubber washer goes right trough the hole and offer no protection; then the spacer barely holds the faucet in place. The faucet knob is so hard to move, that I'm afraid the fragile spacer will give up. Also the faucet knob is so designed that if right hand installed (for a right handed person), one has to push it forward to open, which is counter intuitive (unless I got the wrong, left handed version?)

Cons: Difficult to install, Not durable

The small lines going into the unit comes loose easily. It came loose when it was first installed and then again a week later. The lines attaching the unit had to be adapted to fit our water system, which is evtra money and lots of running to get the right fittings.
