I have been using Aquasana for many years and find their filter to be top quality. Great value for money as well. My fridge has a Pur filter in it, I always gravertate to my Aquasana filter as it just tastes better and I think filters our more of the stuff you do not want to consume.
Pros: Clean taste, Easy to install, Long lasting filter
Took about 45 min. to install. Written directions could have been a bit clearer. Works fine, good tasting water, slow water flow, especially if filling a large pitcher, coffee maker, etc.
We had the older version of this and liked it, but we moved so I needed to order another one. Had to get the updated version and it is even better! The flow is faster and the water flow shuts off immediately once you are finished. It still has the same great taste and works fantastic to filter out the junk you don't need. The price is right too. We will always buy Aquasana. The brushed nickel looks very nice and matches our current facuet.
Despite a lack of tools, I was still able to install. I had a pair of pliers and a screwdriver. I would recommend installing the filter system with a new faucet at the same time. My faucet has one of those spray heads. I used the hole the spray head was using in the sink for the new dispenser. However, I could not remove and cap the spray head, so now the spray sits below the sink but still full of water. Good excuse to go buy a new faucet (without spray head attachment) Overall very easy to install and a huge improvement over out her filter options.
The water taste really pure. I have both a water filter on the refrigerator and this one. I really like the aquasana best. It has a good steady water flow.
Please redo you instruction manual. The single sheet of paper describing the depth to insert the tubing into the filter housing was lost in the packaging. This information should either be included in the installation instructions or taped to the housing. Mark
