This is a poor product compared to the original

Replaced my original Aquasana drinking water filter with this as it had a very slight leak and a repair kit is no longer available. Installation was a nightmare as the tube is no longer preinstalled in the faucet, so I had to go under the sink and try to tighten. Also the base of faucet itself is skimpy and too small for standard pre-drilled SS sink holes. I had to use some of the old hardware to make it stable. Also screws and plastic inserts are way too small to securely hold what is now a very heavy filter assembly. The older model had a bracket that held the filter assembly securely. As far as opening the filter canister; it was impossible for me to do. My 6'4" 220 lb. husband finally took it out to my workshop and used my vice to hold it and then he could remove the cap. The older one? Simply use a socket wrench to open the canisters and replace the cartridge. Why??? In the future; I expect this unit to leak at the tube connection to the faucet where it is impossible to get a wrench in there even using a long handle faucet wrench. I also expect entire faucet to loosen as it is too small for standard pre-drilled holes. I'm not happy.
Pros: Clean taste
Cons: Difficult to install, Not durable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bad taste.

My only complaint is about the taste. It tastes like salt water. We always had R/O but decided on the Aquasana as it had a much smaller footprint and thought it would taste ok. We purchased it 3 months before we could get it installed so we are out of warranty now, otherwise I would have returned it. Installation went well and there are no leaking problems to date. Will keep until filters need replacing, use it for coffee, then give it away or toss it.
The filter init was delivered on time; fairly easy to install and is working fine. It fits into the overall scheme of the sink/counter/ kitchen very nicely.
Pros: Easy to clean, No odor, Clean taste, Good Water Flow, Nice faucet, Easy to install
We replaced our previous aquasana counter water filter with this newer model. The handle works much better and the filter system is much more user friendly. We love it and it’s used A LOT
between drinking water, humidifier water and now the dog has been prescribed to be on filtered water due to a kidney condition
Pros: Clean taste, Good Water Flow, Durable, Nice faucet, Easy to install
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am enjoying the clean water in my kitchen. We now do all our coffee, tea, soup, and pasta boiling with clean water from our Aquasana filter. It was so easy to install. Just followed the directions. My wife really likes it.
Pros: Easy to clean, No odor, Clean taste, Long lasting filter, Good Water Flow, Durable, Nice faucet, Easy to install
The water line is too small for decent water flow. I've used undersink water filters my entire life and never had one with this low. Plumber who installed said it's a function of the water line provided with the product. I would not buy again. Look for a system with larger lines.
Our city water has a bad chlorine taste most of the time and this filter has removed it. We have hooked it up to our fridge water/ice dispenser as well as the supplied tap and are very happy abut our better tasting and safer water.
