Using our city water, rated near the best in the whole US, our Aquasana filter takes about 3 months to clog up with rust, mud, and who knows what else. The water that runs through the Aquasana system tastes fantastic, and it's great to see what we're *not* drinking when we change the filter. Our current countertop system as a whole has lasted for several years: great value for the price.
