I am not mechanical but the filters were easy for me to replace---NO LEAKS! However I could never figure out where the battery compartment was. Hopefully they are not an integral part of the operation of the unit. (The unit was installed at the back under my corner sink and was not easy for me to get my head in there). Otherwise all.went well and I will simply replace filters when they arrive in 6 months

Love this under-counter water filter. It is so easy to replace the filters. We have had filters that cost a lot more money and are much harder to change filters on. The water taste so much better than other filters. We don't buy bottled water any more. Love Love Love this filter.
