The improved taste to the water tells me the filter is removing something(s). I am generally happy with it and appreciate the automatic filter replacements arriving in the mail every six months. But the filter replacement package always includes a new battery which is not needed for the unit to operate but is only there to remind me to replace the filters. Receiving a new battery in the mail every six months with the replacement filters makes no sense for me the consumer, is wasteful and is a long-term health issue to our children, grand-children, etc. Please find a way to not send new batteries to the many customers like me who receive replacement filters every six months.

The only advaantage of this water filter compared to a reverse osmosis system is saving water. Otherwise it can not compare as far as taste, filteration etc.
