The system is doing a pretty good job. The ice cubes are fairly clear (We still fill ice cube trays the old fashioned way). It doesn't remove all the lime but then the system doesn't state that it removes lime. I bypassed the water softener, running a direct line from the well water directly to the faucet attached to the kitchen sink. We are on our third set of filters which we replace when the warning sound activates which is about every six months.

Once you have done it once, the installation process is easy. It takes a long time for your order to arrive. It has a battery to change. You are supposed to change the filters every 3 months or x # gallons. We are a low usage household so its irritating to hear the water beep that it needs changing at exactly the 3 month mark until you change it. Would be nice to have it changeable by usage amount not a flat time period.
