The filters were easy to install. After six months it started beeping. When I changed the filters, I didn't see a difference between old and new. I tested my filtered water with my tap water and received the same readings for all 16 elements. Pro tip: test your tap water first for issues. If you need a filter, check both filtered water and tap water and compare. I was wasting money on this device.
The instructions for the replacement of the filters were a little thin on potential problems for a first time user. I did not know that overtightening would cut off the flow of water; I did not know that even a little mis-alignment of the filter would cause leakage. Troubleshooting the leakage without any instructional assistance took some time. Otherwise, it was relatively easy, as I said. I'll know next time how to avoid those little problems.

My family drinks gallons of water. Our water is hard and (I believe...) clean (suburb of Philadelphia) but you never know. I'm not a fan of bottled water. Bad for the environment plus lots of lugging cases in and out of the house. This Aquasana set-up has worked great for us. We have a separate filtered water faucet and the filters mount under the sink. Changing the filters is easy, the hard part is mounting and unmounting the unit to gain access to the filters. Based on our usage, I suspect that changing them every 9 months would be about right. I went with an every 6 month subscription to be on the safe side. The filters are pretty black after that period of time. The water tastes great. We have had the system for a few years without issue.
Leaks, filters are easy to change but they always leak for some time. I just changed filters 2 weeks ago and still have small leak I make my living repairing things , so it is not that I do not know what I am doing, there is just a problem with the filter housing design.
Pros: No odor, Good Water Flow, Easy to install
Cons: Not durable
